There was a bit of an issue with the “Fast Sweet Potato Fry” video recipe I posted last week.

For some folks, it was a slightly too carba-licious recipe for a late evening meal.

So here's something a bit more protein-packed – and trust me: you don't need any carbs at all with this one. You don't even need to know how to cook shrimp, because I teach you. I call it my “Superfast Spicy Shrimp & Onions Recipe.”

And yes, just as I demonstrate in the video, you may need sunglasses for this shrimp recipe.

What do you think? Do you have a shrimp recipe that can top this one? Did you get a chance to try this shrimp and onion recipe? Or do you think my recipe videos are totally useless because they use barely any ingredients and take less than 10 minutes to make?

Either way, leave your comments and questions below.

Any chance you still have the video? I made this for my daughter YEARS ago and now that’s she’s on her own she asked for the recipe. :)

Very good! I’ll cover the bowl and marinade all day or overnight in fridge.

  5. dave says:

why not just stir fry it?

    1. more labor intensive than sticking it in the oven.

Your shrimp and onion looks so good! Don't know if this tops it but I like to saute shrimp, garlic, onion and a tablesoon of chilli garlic sauce with olive oil and add cilantro at the last minute. Pour over some greens and I prefer raw peppers and squeeze a lemon half. The oil and lemon make an excellent dressing and it's pretty speedy too.

You got me hungry for sweet potatoe fries!

I love the Costco Fresh Greenbeans stir fried with Onions, Chopped Garlic, mushrooms, shrimp, Cayene flakes, curry powder, sesame seeds, & use coconut oil for the cooking oil. a little sweet chili sauce on this is good too
