Last month, in the article “How To Use BPC-157: A Complete Dummies Guide To Healing The Body Like Wolverine“, I introduced the little-known concept of using BPC-157 peptide self-injections and oral BPC-157 peptide consumption (currently completely legal and not banned by sporting organizations) for everything from rapidly healing leaky gut to fixing tendon, ligament and muscle injuries.

In that article, you learned how to order BPC-157, how to “reconstitute” BPC-157 to make it biologically active, how to inject BPC-157 either intramuscularly or subcutaneously, how to take it orally, and BPC-157 research and side effects. I'd highly recommend you review that article prior to reading this one.

Since writing about BPC-157, I've taken an even deeper dive into the underground world of peptides, and found another similar peptide to BPC-157: something called “TB-500”, also known as Thymosin Beta 4.

TB-500 is a synthetic peptide that has been directly linked to impressive extremely enhanced recovery times for muscle and more. It plays a vital role in building new blood vessels, new muscle tissue fibers, new cell migration and new blood cell reproduction.

TB-500 acts a bit differently (and in some cases, more effectively and quickly) than BPC-157 and in today's article, you're going to discover exactly what TB-500 is, how it works, how to use it, and any and all pre-cautions and side effects you should know about.

A warning: unlike BPC-157, TB-500 is absolutely, 100% banned by WADA and most other global sporting organization both in-competition and out-of-competition. You should NOT use this if you are competing in any such sanctioned sport as it definitely falls under the banned category of “Peptide Hormones, Growth Factors, Related Substances and Mimetics (S2)”.

What is TB-500?

TB-500, or Thymosin Beta 4, is a peptide that naturally occurs in the human body and in animal bodies, and, since it is mostly sold for research purposes and veterinary use, is typically implemented in clinical trials in horses.

Thymosins were discovered in the mid 1960’s, when Allan Goldstein from the Laboratory of Abraham White at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York studied the role of the thymus in development of the vertebrate immune system. Since then, Dr. Goldstein founded a company that creates thymosin alpha 1 for the purpose of increasing immune cell activity, and thymosin beta 4 (TB-500) to promote wound repair and healing.

TB-500 has been used extensively for race horses to prevent adhesions from forming, although it is not a prescription veterinary drug. It’s an injectable peptide with limited human use. Mostly, it’s limited to humans who like to experiment, although reports of human use of thymosin dates back as far as 1974 – when a young girl became the first person to receive injections of thymosin because she was diagnosed without a functioning thymus gland.

TB-500 has been shown to offer many of the same effects of growth hormone (GH), including:

-Increasing strength through muscle growth
-Improving endurance
-Speeding up the healing process for wounds
-Reducing acute/chronic pain and/or inflammation
-Increasing flexibility
-Increasing hair growth

As you learned in the previous article on BPC-157, peptides are two or more amino acids linked together in a chain, and TB-500 is a simply a short peptide fragment of an actual hormone – a hormone called “Thymosin Beta-4”.

TB-500 and Thymosin Beta-4 are not exactly the same, although you’ll often see the two names used interchangeably in the peptide world (AKA broscience bodybuilding forums).  It’s much harder to get your hands on true Thymosin Beta-4, whether for research use, equine enhancement, athletic performance enhancement or bodybuilding. But TB-500’s peptide sequence shares most of the properties of Thymosin Beta-4, and it’s more economical to produce, thus easier to find.

Just in case you care about the specifics or you really, really miss high school chemistry class, you can dig into the molecular formula of TB-500 below. It is C212H350N56O78S and has an amino acid sequence of the following

Ac-Ser-Asp-Lys-Pro-Asp-Met-Ala-Glu-Ile-Glu-Lys-Phe-Asp-Lys-Ser-Lys-Leu-Lys-Lys-Thr-Glu-Thr-Gln-Glu-Lys-Asn-Pro-Leu-Pro-Ser-Lys-Glu-Thr-Ile-Glu-Gln-Glu-Lys-Gln-Ala-Gly-Glu-Ser.

TB-500

So, how does this stuff work?

The main functionality of TB500 hinges on the ability to upregulate cell building proteins such as actin, which is a protein that forms (together with myosin) the contractile filaments of muscle cells, and is also involved in motion and metabolism in many other types of cells.. Upregulation of actin allows TB500 to promote healing, cell growth, cell migration and cell proliferation. This not only helps build new blood vessel pathways but also upregulates the type of “good” inflammation that is directly correlated with faster wound healing.

Due to its molecular structure and low molecular weight, TB-500 is very versatile, mobile and possesses the ability to travel long distances through tissues. This means that when targeting injured areas (chronic or acute), TB-500 has the ability to circulate through the body and “find” those areas of injury in order to enhance the healing or growth process. Many users have also noted the added benefits of improved flexibility, reduced inflammation in tendons, re-growth of lost hair, and darkening of grayed hair.

Currently, studies are also being conducted on the ability of TB-500 to heal damaged heart tissue, including “athlete's heart”, also known as ventricular hypertrophy.

In the past, TB-500 has been used extensively for race horses to prevent muscular adhesions and injuries from forming, although it is not a prescription veterinary drug, and MedivetEquine reports that TB-500 offers a variety of benefits to all mammals, regardless of size, including:

In the majority of humans who experiment with TB-500 injections, TB-500 is most often used for acute injuries or wounds that would heal slow (when you need them to heal fast), or for more chronic injuries where the healing doesn’t seem to be happening.

Where to Get TB-500

You can find TB-500 (often sold under the name Thymosin Beta 4) on several peptide supplier websites. These websites can only legally sell the peptides for research purposes.

When you get your TB-500, it will come in a powder form. Just like BPC-157, you will need to “reconstitute” it by adding bacteriostatic water. Go back and read my article on BPC-157 to get access to a peptide calculator that will help you with the mixing/dosage math. Once your TB-500 is properly mixed, you then draw the dose into an insulin syringe, and inject it intramuscularly, subcutaneously, or intravenously (according to your preference).

Supplies needed for TB-500 injection:

Steps for Mixing TB-500:

  1. Take the lids off both your bacteriostatic water and TB-500 containers.
  2. Rub the alcohol swab along the rubber stopper on the TB-500 container, and the top of the bacteriostatic water vial and allow each to air dry.
  3. Fill the insulin syringe with bacteriostatic water and slowly and carefully inject the syringe of water into the 5mg bottle of TB-500 – being careful to spray the water onto the sides of the container rather than directly into the powder. If you do this three times, you will nearly fill the 5mg bottle of TB-500.
  4. Your TB-500 is now reconstituted. You will want to keep it in the refrigerator or freezer to preserve it until you’re ready to use it.

Do not let your mixed TB-500 sit at room temperature or in the light or it will go bad. To ensure the highest quality, it needs to be kept out of direct light and at refrigerated or frozen temperatures.

When drawing TB-500 into syringes for injection, turn the bottle upside down slowly and draw the liquid into the syringe smoothly and slowly. When injecting, do so with a smooth, slow motion as well. Peptides are fragile and too much mixing and jostling of the container can damage or reduce the effectiveness of your product.

How to Inject TB-500

TB-500 can be delivered through subcutaneous, intramuscular, or intravenous injections.

Before using any of these methods, use a fresh alcohol swab to clean the rubber stopper of your TB-500 bottle and the area of injection. This will minimize your risks for bacteria and contamination.

Subcutaneous injections – you simply pinch an area of skin and push the needle through it. Tip: you should inject an area of your body near your actual injury.

Intramuscular injections – these are harder than subcutaneous injections as instead of simply inserting the needle under the skin, the needle must be “stabbed” into the muscle as close to the area you are experiencing pain or injury as possible.

Intravenous injection – the needle is inserted directly into the vein, usually on the wrist, elbow, or back of the hand. This one is pretty tough, and I don't recommend unless you have medical supervision or really know what you're doing.

After injecting TB-500, massage the area of injection for about a minute to help work the TB-500 into the tissues and improve the absorption and effectiveness.

The most common dose of TB-500/Thymosin Beta 4 is based on your body weight. For a 200-pound person, the dosage recommendation is about 7.66mg per week for six weeks. This is derived by calculating the human dose based on the recommended dosage of TB-500 for greyhounds (5 mg) according to MediVet (the TB-500 manufacturer).

Side Effects and Risks Of TB-500

You should know that there have been some conflicting research studies about this stuff when it comes to cancer. Some studies suggest that it may contribute to the growth of existing cancer cells, while further data suggests it may inhibit cancer.

Doctors have noticed cancer patients have a higher amount of Thymosin in the affected tissues than other people. So in the early stages of research, doctors assumed that this meant Thymosin may cause cancer. After more research was conducted, it was discovered that the main action of Thymosin Beta 4 was to produce new white blood cells – so its presence in the body in the areas affected by cancer was likely not a cause of the cancer, but instead, a matter of “showing up” in the body where cancer lived to help the body mount an immune system response.

But like most peptides on the market, TB-500 has limited long term studies involving human use. Although I haven't personally used TB-500 (I can't, since I compete in WADA sanctioned sports like triathlon and obstacle course racing), from what I’ve seen and heard from bodybuilders and athletes using the peptide, the primary side effect is a temporary sense of lethargy. Also, some people report getting a head rush when injecting TB-500, but report this head rush goes away a few minutes after injecting.

Summary

Here's the deal: peptides are the wild, wild west of supplementation.

Many are illegal for sanctioned sporting purposes, so do your research (I recommend GlobalDro.com for this).

Many do not have long term safety studies in humans, but decent track records in animals.

Proceed at your own risk.

But when it comes to healing injuries fast, healing the gut, growing new muscle faster, or getting any of the other benefits I mentioned in this article, it may be worth looking into peptides such as TB-500 or BPC-157.

How long does Tb-500 stay in your system for drug test?

    1. steve says:

I have bpc-157, tb-500 10mg Blend on the way. I’m not clear how to dose this. It seems that the cocktail is already mixed and ready to inject. Is there still some reconstitution that needs to be done, or is the stuff ready to go out of the vial?

      1. Josh says:

You always need to reconstitute the white powder in the vial by adding the water to it. I don’t really understand those mixes though, it seems it’s just 5mg bpc 5mg tb but the tb dosage should be way higher than the bpc and you want to take them at different intervals so not just dosage but timing is off. like he says peptides are the wildwest of supplementation.

  12. Andrew P says:

Guys, please Help ! I am struggling with HIP Tendonitis. and BPC didn’t work.
Does anyone know how long TB-500 stays in the body before I participate in next race. BECAUSE I have 70.3 in September 2021.
    Thank ya :)

  13. mark says:

I have heard that the body can build a resistance to TB 500 and it won’t work after some time. Is that true?

    1. parrot says:

TB500 is still very popular at present, the use feeling is good, depending on the later use

    2. Matt Mint says:

I am by no means an expert, but I have heard doctors say that its good to cycle off both tb500 and bpc157. In Bens last article he said one month on, 2 weeks off and I just heard that 5 days on, 2 days off works also for more long term use.

  14. robert says:

Anyone making TB-500 eye drops, how many drops per day?

    1. Troy says:

      Jesus that sounds interesting

  15. Bob says:

Thanks a lot for the article. Very interesting!! I have started to use Tb-500 . Does anyone else have a appetite/hunger like crazy after injecting? I have found a few others who experience this. Some claim it could be a peptide called GHRP-6 instead of TB-500.

@Ben Greenfield, have you ever heard anything about this side effect?

    1. Michael says:

Yeah it’s probably ghrp2 or 6 they make you hungry but you can’t eat for 30 minutes otherwise the protein in the food fucks with the growth

    2. Allen Townsend says:

Holy cow yes. I only used it once. I bought a $100 vial of TB500 at 10mg. As I researched the dosing I assumed they must mean micrograms because everything I was reading was saying shoot basically the hole vial in one shot. I figured well I’ll try 2.5mg. If they’re right I can still easily get to 7.5 mg for the week but basically I’ve wasted my money since you need to use it for 6 weeks. The instant I shot it subcontaneously I felt hunger like never before. I ate pasta, cereal, pancakes, ice cream, protein shakes. I never made it to the gym as I ate about $100 in groceries over 2 hours. I tossed the rest of the vial because I thought maybe it was just insulin and was pissed because that’s dangerous. If I do ever try it again it will be after the work out and after a big meal.

      1. AA says:

Would someone please elaborate on the dosage. When its said to inject 5 mg is this referencing to the actual raw peptide because only 5 mg come in the vacuumed vial or is it the 5 mg of the peptide suspended solution (peptide reconstituted in the bacteriostatic water)

        1. Michael says:

          That has to be wrong.
This is what I found on a lab page on TB-500 (corelabsau)
          Dosage:
Studies have shown that TB-500 needs to have a loading phase with a dosage of about 2mg – 4mg per week for the first month, then dosing can be reduced accordingly for maintenance.

It doesn’t mention what the maintenance dose is.

          1. Mike says:

After the first month, reduce dosage down to half. You can adjust up or down for remaining weeks

        2. Sierra says:

Yes. He was saying add 3ml of bac water into the vial. Since it’s based on weight he used 7.66 mg a week for a 200 lb person. So to do the math 7.66/200 equal mg/lb. that equals .04 mg a day or 40 micrograms. Another example is say you weight 180 lbs, use the 7.66/200=.0383x 180 gives you 6.89 mg a week. Divide by 7 = .98. So 1mg a day.

          1. Renee says:

I am still confused on the dosage. I have a 10mg bottle of TB 500 powder. I added 300 cc of bac water. How many cc’s do I use per dose? Everyone is talking in mg or mcg, but I bought insulin stringers and they are in cc’s. I’m 140 pounds.

Hi, very informative website, good work!

I had a minor tear in rotator cuff a few years back. I asked the surgeon about TB500 and BPC157 and he categorically said there was no supporting evidence of effectiveness in humans. He was a tendon/ligament trauma specialist, not ‘just’ a general surgeon. Is that because he is bound by Hippocratic Oath and cannot suggest anything that ‘might’ cause me some harm….?? I see the reports from many people of the incredible success they have had with injury rehab using these products though. So I don’t doubt it works. But I also know it hasn’t gone through the rigorous clinical trials that all drugs need to go through before being certified for human use, so from the surgeons perspective, it just’s not even worth considering. Or because he’s a surgeon, he sees resolution to injuries using surgery as the best fix?

I had the op and was completely successful and back to working strength within about 4 weeks.

Anyway, I think it has torn again a couple of weeks ago, not as bad as before, but all the same pains in the same location and not getting any better.

Just wondering what direction to take next….? Try the TB/BPC option or the normal channels as before – doctor, ultrasound scan, MRI scan, surgery.

One issue though is I’ve never bought stuff like this, never reconstituted powders, never injected anything. So I admit in this area, I’m out of my depth. I’m not currently in contact with anyone with experience of this either, to assist me in prep and administration.

Best to stick to what I know?

Pharmaceutical industry controlled FDA AMA doctors cannot, repeat CANNOT, prescribe, recommend, hint at anything other than what is specified by the AMA/FDA. If the do, they will lose their license and possibly face criminal prosecution. The Internet has all the info that you need to make intelligent decisions about how to maintain your health using proper nutrition, supplements, herbals and peptides. Research until you are able to form a consistent pattern for the item and then give it a try. If you decide to pursue peptides, which I use, be ultra cautious about where you purchase (if they don’t accept credit cards, avoid) and be ultra clean in the preparation of the injection and use of needles. Sense something not right, again very cautious, back off, wait and try again, research some more.

Don’t waste your time asking your AMA doctor. He simply cannot give you an honest answer.

The FDA controls/runs a huge money making industry. GMO and chemically treated plant and animal products and processed foods will make and keep the population ill, the pharmaceutiical/medical industry will keep the population ill by treating symptoms not curing the illness- all working together to empty the pocketbooks of the common person.

Massive fan of all the work you do!

I’ve ordered BPC-157 after reading your column a. It’s for ongoing knee pain after a right knee arthroscopy , prp injections and long term rehab. Its cartlidge damage. Can I pinch the skin on the front of the knee and inject into it.. I have enough skin there I just want to see if it’s safe to do? I want to get as close to the knee injury as possible.

    Thanks Ben

    @Ben

I’m trying to heal upper back pain and ankle foot issues tendinitis. Do you recommend tb-500 or bpc? I would be taking it orally and am unsure of the dosage for taking it orally What would the dosages be?

    1. DUSTIN N JAVAHERIAN says:

You stack both of them together. Bpc 157 2x daily and Tb 500 2x weekly

  25. Rich says:

The protocol I will be following for TB-500 requires a 1.5 mg injection daily. Most reconstituting protocols suggest a volume of .5 ml per 1 mg of peptide. The issue is at 1.5 mg of TB-500, this equals to 830 ul in a syringe. I would like to cut the BAC down to .25 ml per 1 mg of TB-500. Which in turn would only require 415 ul per injection.

Will the TB-500 mix correctly at 1.25 ml?
Can I mix in the BAC until I have no sediment and the TB-500 is clear?
What is the lowest concentration of BAC I can use without any itching, burning or ill effects?

  26. John says:

Cannabis may help you in this. I have tried it from https://kingandstone.com/. You can also try.

  27. tinfoilhattt says:

Very late response here but FWIW here’s my Achilles story-

Partially tore the R Achilles ~30 yrs ago and it would NOT heal-after 6 months of limping around I decided to try using topical DMSO on it. Immediate pain relief-I could feel the tendon “squeaking” within the sheath when I walked but the pain was relieved.

Used it a couple of times daily for about a week then slacked off because I kind of forgot about it. Had an “AHA!” moment about the 3 week mark when I realized it had stopped hurting even after the DMSO pain relief had worn off {~ 6 hrs}.

    Have skiied, hiked heavy and played racquetball on it ever since with no recurrence…looking into peptides now for recurring knee pain following racquetball sessions. The DMSO offers temporary relief but has not worked on the knees like it did on the Achilles. I’m sure being 30# heavier has nothing to do with it…[-;

  28. Eric says:

Please correct me if I am wrong. If 10 mg is needed per week, that would be 6 10 mg bottles I would need at 170.00 per bottle at peptide science, shit, that kills my bank.. other sites are around 40.00 per bottle but not sure how legit.

    1. Alen says:

I’m a bit confused in terms of the dosing recommendation. I’m planning to buy a mixture of TB500 (5MG) & BPC 157 (5MG) which is a total of 10MG in one bottle. Ben Greenfield’s instruction is to fill the bottle with three full syringes of bacteriostatic water. If I’m going by the peptide calculator, I need to inject 6MG (I’m 150lbs). So I inject myself with a little over half the bottle per week on one dose? Just seems like I’m injecting a lot of fluid all at once.

      1. Leonel GORI says:

The key its allways go higher on miligrams on the vial in powder and As long you dont see crystal or sediment in the vial one its reconstituted with water easy to see when it gets cold usually next day you can use less bacteriostatic water so will be less liquid to injecting. You can learn it by the time and if you see sediment just add another bit of water and recalculate the doses or just do it next time. Remember not shake the peptides never bobbles will destroying peptide and reduce concentrations and effectiveness so ad water dripping over the glass not over powder and then mix it on very slow round motion The only problem here to consider its if you dont do a 1:1 RATIO you need just to be carefull to no overdose or waste peptides that all.

        1. Rick F says:

Today was my first attempt at TB500. I used one 100 unit syringe full of water with a 2mg vial and it seemed to absorb it all after about 10 minutes. I rolled the water around (gently) in the bottle to help things along.

Once it looked clear I injected the entire deal in the side of my butt as one of my doses for the week. It’s a little tender but seemed to work out fine.

      2. Wakemus says:

I would not use a mixture because the bpc should be site injected and according to what I’ve read injected twice a day. Where as the tb500 only needs to be injected twice a week and does not need to be injected near the site of the injury. If I were running them for the first time I would run them separate so you can see how effective each one works. Then, maybe a few months later if still needed run them at the same time.

      3. HArry says:

BCP 157 have a 6 hours life action. I did a 2 injections a day of 250 combined with RAD 140 at 20 mg a day. If I had TB 500 I would start maybe around 4 mg 2 times a weeks with BCP 157 200 at 3 times a day to have a more efficient life action.

Suggestion are 1 to 4 weeks like I said… depend of dosage you want, some would do more around 5 mg 2 times a week… what make the bottle at 150$ canadian last one week.

After they suggest TB 500 one time a week and a diminished dose of BPC for week 5 to 8 and some suggest staying on that for injury recovery… would I do a stop phase? I don’t know.

But it’s way cheaper than stem cells . I am not Dave Asprey financially ;)

      4. Will says:

No that weekly dose is broken into daily or twice daily injections.

Hey Paris! I’ve been dealing with an ankle injury for about 2 months now and have been thinking about peptides as an option. Hope it doesn’t sound like a dumb question, I would just really like to know how it is that I’m going to go about doing this to get the most out of the treatment! Hope to hear from you soon.

  31. Good morning Ben,

I am new to the peptide world, I have’t used any as of yet. I am trying to choose between 2 peptides. BPC -157 and Thymosin Beta. I have old injuries from competitive Crossfit, so good for your joints. I have had MRI’s, X-Rays, ultrasounds, to try and diagnose what is going on, shoulder and hip problems. I have done, PRP, Stem Cell therapy and physical therapy for years. Everything helps a little bit but as soon as I start training again it comes back immediately. All I have ever been told was that I have a lot of small tears, bursitis, tendonitis, and bone marrow edema (fucking crossfit). What do you recommend? I have been told that TB is better for older injuries whereas BPC is more for newer injuries.

    1. I'd have to know way more about you before making recommendations for this sort of thing. I'd be happy to help you out via one-on-one coaching, you can sign up here: https://bengreenfieldfitness.com/coaching Or, you may way to ask the Kion Facebook Community: https://Facebook.com/groups/GetKion

      1. Brian says:

I am using BPC 157 and TB500 at the same time. They enforce each other. For the first 3 days of BPC 157 I took a too high dose, that is 1300 mcg (1.3mg) of BPC 157 per day instead of 300 mcg, by mistake. I could not sleep with that high of a dose. But I did not get tired for lack of sleep. I slept a total of 6 hours in 3 days. So, the main side effect of more than 600 mcg of BPC 157 per day is insomnia.

When I got back to 300 mcg per day of BPC 157 I could sleep again. Everything was normal again. If I take more than 500 mcg of BPC 157 per day I get problems with sleeping. I get a lot of energy. I can perform, work out, without the problems that occur from lack of sleep.

And by the way, YOU FEEL THE EFFECTS OF BPC 157 FOR 24 HOURS AFTER INJECTING IT. BPC 157 WILL NOT LEAVE YOUR BODY AFTER 6 HOURS. So injecting it twice a day or once does really not make a difference. Ask doctors who use this peptide. They will tell you the same thing.

I am now on 4 mg of TB500 per week. Absolutely no side effects at all, like with BPC 157.

    2. M Turin says:

Long term and sustained is the 157 , the tb500 will work much quicker and get you back to competing. The down side is that studies show that it won’t work as well the next time. We get used to it so you might want to save for the one big one.

    3. Rick says:

I’m getting PRP in the next 45 days and they have given me BOTH BPC-157 and Thymosin Beta. I’m taking them at that same time in preparation for the injection (in my shoulder and back).

      1. nick says:

prp worked great for me in torn labrum and rotator in shoulder. numale medical. Saved me from going under the knife

  32. Simen says:

I am considering doing 250cc of bcp 157 in each leg/foot for my plantar fasciitis. I also want to combine tb 500 for 4 mg twice a week or 8mg once a week. I am wondering if i should take the tb 500 on the same place or if can just inject it in the stomach fat, and should i do once or twice a week with a lower dosage

    1. Shawn Schueller says:

An FYI for those looking to purchase peptides. Ben used to pimp an on-line retailer called Nord-Sci for peptides. I made several purchases of TB 500 over the past couple of years from this retailer and always experienced excellent results with its’ ability to accelerate the healing process for various soft tissue injuries, both acute and chronic. My last purchase attempt in the amount of $260 has been an abortion. My funds cleared my account on 7/1 via electronic check. Nord Sci’s site states that orders are shipped the day after funds have been received. I still have nothing to show for my $260 and the site hasn’t responded to any of the 3 e-mails I I’ve sent since 7/12. My first 2 e-mails were professional and cordial, the last decidedly more terse. Be warned.

      1. Gloria says:

Pls let us know what happened I’m looking for a provider as well.

  33. Andrew says:

    Hi Ben

I am having a rotator cuff op next month and am interested in trying either BPC157 or TB500 to aid in recovery. (The main issue is a torn infraspinatus tendon).

Would you recommend either one over the other in light of this condition based on your research?

    Many thanks

    Andrew

    1. I'd probably start with BPC.

      1. Brian says:

Can I mix tb500 with hgh when they fall in the same day?
        5mg twice per week tb500
        2iu daily hgh

Also, I can only reply. I can’t post a comment.

      2. There is a legitimate concern regarding peptides that stimulate blood vessels growth / regrowith such as TB500 in that they do
promote the survival and growth of potential and existing cancerous tumors due to the fact tumors can only survive and grow by producing new blood vessels necessary to draw nutrition and energy both crucial for their survival and growth..

      3. Angello says:

Hey Ben, thank you so much for this article. I do have one pending question, though! What about an injury such as an ankle injury. Would you still just want to grab the little far around that area (around where the talus is) and try to go for a SUB Q injection? Or is it better for an ankle injury to simply go for something like an IM injection at the calf muscle? Hope to hear from you. Thanks again for all this information. Hoping I can recover from all these injuries.

        1. Hi Angello! This video and article might help: https://www.pinterest.com.mx/pin/1883068281446212… and https://bengreenfieldfitness.com/article/recovery… . Otherwise, I´d be happy to help via a one-on-one health consult: bengreenfieldcoaching.com/consults

    2. Jai says:

I had the same injury. Both helped. Used max human effective dose (saturation dose) five weeks. Pain dissolved. Canna came back with more growth then doc could explain. Just keep your physio going.

  34. Francie Epperson says:

Would a person get better results using both injectable and oral peptides? Or are the results the same using either one or the other? Thanks!

    1. Seems a little redundant… Between the two, injectable will be the most efficacious, but oral will have similar effects but not quite as robust.

      1. Francie Epperson says:

Thanks for replying. I have ordered Dr. Seeds’ BPC 157 and am hopeful that will be enough. Thanks again!

        1. Alistair McLean says:

          Did they work?

        2. xavier says:

Dr Seeds contains NO BPC-157; read closely and you’ll see. They claim that it’s closely related — and effective — but all I can say is, unlike actual BPC-157, it did NOTHING for me. Maybe it works for someone else, but I’ve heard nothing in support of it in all the many BPC forums to which I belong; seems pretty scammy is all I’m sayin’…

          1. guyrelax says:

This is a bit concerning considering Ben recommends the stuff. Makes you wonder if you should trust anything on this site at all

      2. Stephanie says:

Can the TB-500, after mixed with the BAC water, can it be taken by squirting under the tongue and holding for two minutes prior to swallowing? Rather than injection.

        1. Yes, you can use orally.

          1. Al says:

So both BPC 157 AND tb 500 can be taken orally? I have a tissue disease & every time I get needle injections, the tissue there dies or becomes bumpy. I also have a torn ligament in my foot now for 5 years due to not being able to heal from this disease. Totally sucks

          2. Will says:

Can you verify this? I haven’t seen much mention of BP-500/BP4 being orally available elsewhere.
However, RegeneRx has made an eye drop for Dry Eye (in clinical trials) out of it, so that leads me to believe maybe sublingual is also possible: http://www.regenerx.com/RGN-259

  35. Susan says:

    Hi Ben

I am new to this world and riddled with injury from one thing or another but not from the gym. I bought 5mg of BPC-157 and understand how to reconstitute it. Unfortunately, I could not get 5mg of TB-500 and could only get 2mg. How would I reconstitute a 2mg vial? Also, I am 110lbs and the calculator doesn’t really help because I don’t know other variables. What would be a reasonable dose? I hope you can answer these questions.

    Thanks

    1. Chad says:

      Hi Susan,

1st, I’m not a doctor nor am I recommending anything. This is just some information for information’s sake. Take it for what it’s worth.

A good rule to follow is 1mg/week for every 25lbs you weigh. So 110lbs would be about 4mg-5mg per week.

Now, you reconstitute TB500 with BAC water, like BPC157. Remember, TB500 is usually dosed 2 times a week for the first 4 weeks or so. The less BAC water used, the more concentrated the solution and therefore less to inject.

If you’re 110lbs, the 2mg vials aren’t that bad as it’ll help keep dosing simple. 4mg-5mg a week would be good for you, so one 2mg vial is one day’s dose (@4mg per week).

So assuming the syringe used is 1cc with 100 marks, and you reconstitute @ a 1:1 ratio (2ml of water for 2mg of TB500), you’d be injecting 2 full syringes per day, twice a week for 4 weeks.

After the “loading phase”, you go down to 2 mg a week, one day a week (2 full syringes one day a week).

Then it’s about once a month for maintenance. This duration seems to depend on the individual.

If you reconstitute with the least amount of BAC water possible, you can keep the injections smaller. So if you can find 5mg or 10mg vials, you can keep each shot to 1/2 a syringe or less. Plus the cost per mg goes down when there’s more in the vial.

      Hope this hypothetical 8nfo helps.

      1. Jack says:

There is no need for 2 whole ml of bac water for 2mg. You can use much less and be fine. I get 5mg vials and use .4ml and use .2ml twice a week. No need to waste bac water and put more into your body than is needed.

      2. Christ says:

I have never seen anybody explain so well as u did, thank you….

  36. Jonathan Magnano says:

    Can you ingest TB500?

  37. Weston says:

I injected a handful of 5mg vials of the stuff over the course of a few weeks, from Blue Sky Peptides. While BPC-157 seemed to benefit me, I did not notice the same thing with TB-500. I injected it into my painful knees, shoulder, and a few other places. In fact, I noticed a nasty side effect. Like severe cramping in areas that were adjacent to areas where I injected. For instance, injecting TB-500 into the front of my knee would lead to severe cramping behind the knee, to the point where I could barely walk. The only way to make the cramping go away was to actually inject BPC-157 into the cramped area.

    1. Sosa says:

I tried Blue Sky amongst several other vendors, they were the worst/weakest

  38. Juli says:

    Hello,

My TB-500 is 2 mg, if I reconstitute with BAC in the 10 ml vile, how much should I be injecting? I’m 155 lbs.

    Thanks!

    1. fiona says:

I have the same question, except I’m 200 pounds.

  39. Firebird7478 says:

I’ve been on it for a month. 5mg/week, 2 2.5mg injections. Not only has it not done a thing for me but I feel worse. Dizziness, headaches. None of the stuff I’m using it for has seen any marked improvement.

  40. Gaius Gracchus says:

Apparently a lot of people are using Evolution Peptides as a source. This person has tried them and believes the quality is very good:
    https://bluecloud.org/evolution-peptides-review/

We are looking into that as an alternative if the compounding pharmacy our doctor mentioned is too expensive.

    1. Jon Anthony says:

I wouldn’t trust blue cloud, my friend. Take a look at this article here, it explains how they’re basically using dishonest reviews to make a bunch of money: https://www.masculinedevelopment.com/sarms-for-sale/

One of the guys in their private blog network actually stole my SARMs before and after pictures and put his own logo on them. They’re a bunch of scammy dudes who recommend bunk to get paid.

      1. Jon Anthony says:

        Whoops, article didn’t post. Here.

  41. Gaius Gracchus says:

We are ordering some thymosin beta 4 from a compounding pharmacy (tailormadecompounding.com). Our physician wrote a prescription for both the beta 4 and the thymosin alpha 1.

It will be rather expensive – shipped in insulated cold pack containers and pre-constituted. I will post the cost as soon as we see what it is. I will ask them about longevity – doctor says it can last for months in the fridge. They did also say if you freeze it use soon and don’t refreeze it ever again.

Will also repost after we see effects on healing for herniated disc and other things, as well as hair growth.

    –Gaius G

    1. Gaius Gracchus says:

The pharmacy called (tailormadecompounding.com) and said that they do send the bottles of liquid with the alpha 1 or the tb 500 (we are getting both) ready to use. The bottles are shipped in cold packs. They say the water is sterile with a buffer of some sort. They say it will last refrigerated for a couple of months at least and have tested it to see that it does. They ship it to a lab in Utah to be tested, so it endures the shipping rather well, apparently. They also were shipping 31 gauge syringes, which seem better than using the thicker 28 gauge.
However, the real issue for us would be the cost – they want over $900.00 for a months supply of these two peptides (alpha 1 and beta 4), along with the syringes.
This is ridiculously overpriced. Granted, it is made here in the US and is human grade and guaranteed to be at least 99% pure. Still, it just seems like the profit markup on this would be like 3000%… which is obnoxious.

      1. Gaius Gracchus says:

BTW – the month’s supply of these two peptides included doses of 750 mcg/day each.

        Checking out alternatives like PeptideSciences

        1. RB says:

I’ve been buying from Peptide Sciences for over 1 year and very happy with their stuff. At one point I tried a cheaper site but the injections would burn for a couple of days. These guys say all their stuff is made in the USA which is another plus.

          1. Daniel Soong says:

How do you order from Peptide Sciences? Doesn’t it require a company name?

      2. Gaius Gracchus says:

The actual price breakdown for this prescription from tailormadecompounding is:

        syringes 31 gauge 10 x 8 0.3cc $3 x 8 = $24

        thymosin alpha 1 (2) x 5ml vials .25ml/day total 40 days $300
        thymosin beta 4 (2) x 5ml vials .25ml/day total 40 days $600

each vial = 20 days @ 750mcg/day so each vial must have 15 mg of peptides
        shipping $25
        total cost = $949

        1. Mia says:

Thank you for this information. This is very helpful.

        2. Robert says:

Flaalternativemeds ive been getting peptides 157 300 50 a bottle 5mg hgh kit somatropin test Cyp/prop hcg anstozol all syringes and bacterial static water alcohol wipes 775 for 3 months supply 150 for consults and blood work after consult it’s just 775 16 weeks been using for 6 months never a problem straight from compounding pharmacy

        3. Jay says:

How are (2) vials of thymosin beta 4 going to last for 40 days when the stuff supposedly only stays good for 7-14 days once reconstituted??

      3. Daniel says:

I also used the TB4 (hair loss) and BPC157 (Tissue repair) from Tailor for about 3 months. The TB4 did help with thickening existing hair, did nothing to convert vellus to terminal hairs. The BPC157 did resolve tissue damage in 16 days, amazing. All this said, Tailor and other compounding pharmacy have huge mark-ups on peptides. I also began looking for alternatives such as peptide sciences. Their peptides seem to be quality, however the blends (TB4/BPC157) seemed to product a bit of burning during injections. So I would avoid combining peptides.

        1. J D says:

Did the BPC157 help convert Vellus hair into being Terminal?

  43. Layla says:

Where do you recommend buying TB-500 from online?

    1. I recommend posting this to the Kion Community. It’s a completely free online community of like-minded people who both have advice and are seeking advice. Facebook.com/groups/GetKion/

    2. Nichole says:

I’m looking too, thinking Peptide Sciences but I see mixed reviews. Any luck for you?

  45. Shawn Deneve says:

Ben! Please let me know your thoughts on TB500 for dry eyes my man.

I have symptomatic dry eyes and doctors have NO idea how to treat it. I’ve read some study’s saying that TB-500 may be the next best thing for dry eye treatment.

Would I need to put TB500 into an eye drop? Or injection is still fine?

    1. Nick says:

It works great! LASIK surgery caused my eyes to be majorly dry for going on half a year now. It’s amazing how well it works. It should recommended for people post surgery.

    2. RB says:

I live in the desert and dry eyes have been an issue for me too. Best supplement for me is liquid Hyluronic Acid. I use Neo-Cell blueberry. This stuff is sometimes hard to get as even Amazon seems to sell out. Also use dry eye heat compress which brings instant relief

  46. Ben says:

Hey man do you know if this is bioavailable or able to be taken orally? I am planning on injecting BPC and TB500 subcutaneously but my girlfriend does my injections so I was thinking of taking it orally on off days.

    1. Yep, you can take it orally and it will work systemically, same as BPC

      1. Mime says:

What’s the protocol for time on/time off?

  47. BrooklynPaul says:

Am I missing something here. The Reconstitution Calculator doesn’t go that high. (mg converted down to mcg?) Basically I am trying to figure out how many Viles of TB-500 5mg I would need after reconstituted as per above info. I’m looking to do 6.5mg weekly dose for 6 weeks.

If someone were doing that dose would it be injected all at once or distributed to the week

  48. I’ve done this exact protocol exactly like this over a 21 day period in September. I did this while doing a series of PRP treatments to supplement that process.

I can vouch for this actually helping grow some hair. I mean if you are bald and expecting hair growth, don’t get too excited – but if you are thinning or something, it definitely contributed to helping grow hair and seems to have continued to do so.

It’s supposed to also help boost your immune system – I have yet to get sick this year, but this is just an n=1 experience. I don’t think it helped me as much in cell regeneration or muscle growth though, it may have helped by only marginally. I haven’t gained significant muscle during this time despite maintaining my training intensity. I have considered doing this treatment again maybe next year. I have found Sermorelin to significantly help though. :-)

Overall I think it would be a good thing to try out if you can.

    1. Daniel says:

Mike – how many ml per day did you use for 21 day protocol?

    2. Gaius Gracchus says:

Our doctor has prescribed the Thymosin Alpha 1 for immune system support. Another peptide.

  49. MICHAEL F MUSE says:

    Hi Ben,

I would love to try TB-500 for my research but am a bit unsure where to get it. I have studied various SARMS from sarmswearhouse.com with excellent results but it looks like they do not supply TB-500. Would you mind pointing me to a reliable source for it ?

    huge thanks !

    Michael Muse

  50. Mike says:

Trying to figure this out. I think I got it??? So I have 2mg of TB500. If I put 1cc of water then I have to take 50 units or the 50th tick mark to get 2MG and that 3 times a week for a total of 6. am I correct

    1. Jp says:

If you put 1 cc of water in a 2mg vial. You have 1cc with a 2mg concentration in that cc. If you take 1/2 a cc you are only taking 1mg. If you do that 3 times a week…. You get the math.

  51. Scott says:

    Hi Ben,

Thanks for all of the info on your great website. Question for you regarding TB500. I think you mentioned how delicate it is when handling it and mixing it with water. I am thinking about buying a bulk order via alibaba.com and wondering if it would be feasible to put the powder into 5mg mixing vials myself. Any risks in doing so?

    Thanks,

    Scott

    1. Yep, you can do that so long as you follow my reconstitution instructions in article.

    2. Nichole says:

How did you like the tb500 from alibaba.com?

  52. Jamie says:

I’m curious to know where you got your reconstitution calculation from; you recommend putting approx 3 cc’s in a 5 mg TB-500 which ‘almost fills’ the vial. I have been doing a ton of research on TB-500 and finding contradictory recommendations on how to reconstitute. Because the dosing for TB-500 is higher than what I’m used to with GHRH & GHRP – I felt a lower reconstitution mixture would reduce the amount I needed to take (but now I’m wondering if I’ve been over dosing based on your formula). Would really appreciate knowing how you arrived at filling an insulin syringe ‘three times’ equal to 3 cc’s – just want to make sure i’m dosing correctly

    1. LeDonne RN says:

An insulin syringe is by definition a 1 cc syringe with a subQ needle. Therefore to get 3cc’s you would have to fill it 3X. Don’t confuse cc’s with mg. Cc’s are the amount of fluid to carry the medication. The medication itself is measured in mg.

    2. LawnGuy says:

Here’s some easier math on a 5mg TB500 vial filled with 2.5mL BAC water. 5000/2.5=2000mcg/mL. An insulin pin (slim pin) filled completely is 1cc/2000mcg of TB500. Half a syringe, 1000mcg, 1/4 full, 500mcg, etc.

  53. Jamie says:

i’m currently taking Mod GRF 1-29 and Ipamorelin; can I add BP-500 to this stack?

  56. Laura says:

Wow I wonder if it will help those of us with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome – a collagen disorder that causes ligament laxity and makes those with it prone to easy subluxations and early onset arthritis. I have so many injuries from my daily life due to this disorder. I know this won’t fix my faulty collagen since that is encoded in my genes but perhaps it would help with the symptoms – a bunch of torn ligaments and worn out joints. Thanks for sharing!

    1. Jesse says:

What would be the best 3 or 4 sarms/peptides for healing injuries?

      1. Hi Jesse, while I cant make specific sarms recommendations as it would be teetering on giving medical advice, I have a ton of resources on this on BenGreenfieldFitness.com that you can easily search through. There is also a lot of invaluable discussion on sarms going on in the comments sections of these articles. Would u suggest TB and BPC be taken simultaneously? I have a partially torn tendon. I’m a competitive powerlifter and I’m trying to get back as soon as possible

    1. Yes, you can stack the two.

      1. Erick Rodriguez says:

do you think its ok to constitute with sterile water instead of BAC water? Im in a pinch and don’t have BAC water at the moment.
        thank you

        1. Beau says:

No dont. Go to the drug store/pharmacy and ask for some. Do not use regular water.

  59. Christine Wolf says:

Unfortunately, after about 20 days TB-500 I have developed a type II Allegie. is not suitable for everyone. I tolerate BPC-157 without problems.

  60. Clint Conner says:

Hi Ben. I’ve been taking metformin for life extension. Would there be any interaction if I took theTB 500 with Metformin?

    1. I'm not a doctor so I can't say for sure. I would speak with your doctor about this.

      1. gscripts says:

        Hi Ben,

Can you take tb500 daily the same way as bpc 157 as your ratios of reconstitution are the same?

        1. I personally wouldn’t. Although the reconstitution is the same – the protocol is not.

  61. DAVID says:

How in the world can I Pay on Nord-Sci?

Credit cards won’t work. Not sure what an Amazon e-code is, but that option doesn’t seem to work either.

    Any ideas?

How was your experience with them?

  62. Chad Larson says:

    Ben,

I was just diagnosed with achilles tendonosis in both of my achilles. I am an avid lifter as well as city leagues for football and basketball, I live in Montana so I hike a lot and participate In obstacle course races. My achilles have ground me to a halt over the last 3 months months. I have been referred to a surgeon for a Tenex procedure on both achilles. I am only 32 the last thing I want is have both of my achilles cut into. I’m looking at the TB-500 and BPC-157 to hopefully avoid surgery. I have done my research but am getting conflicting numbers as far as dosing. I am roughly 240 pounds and 6’5 could u recommend a dosage and cycle? Also I was wondering where the most effective injection site would be? Do I need it directly into the achilles itself or is local good enough?

    Thanks in advance

    1. Travis Mancini says:

Hey I have used Tb 500 alot and can tell you injecting it in your fat around your stomach or in your large muscles near the injury is fine. I would never inject it into a wounded area because of possiblity of making the area worse by infection or trama from the needle. Dosage is tough I would say for a 200 pound person you need at least 5mg twice a week. Mixing it with GH releasing peptides seems to make it stronger as well. It’s definitely worth the month just finding legit stuff can be tricky.

Never freeze the peptide Becuase the ice crystals will damage it and make it not as strong but in some cases you have to be because it stores longer frozen, up to a year i believe where fridge is about one month. This is raw powder not reconstituted

      1. rui says:

hi what is your experience with it ?

    2. tinfoilhattt says:

Have skiied, hiked heavy and played racquetball on it ever since with no recurrence…

  63. Trevor B says:

A company here in Canada has viles with 5mg bpc 157 and 5mg tb500 in the same vile. Is that a safe ratio and should i dilute with only 3 syringes worth of bac? Thanks in advance

    Great info by the way

    1. Hi Trevor, I can't really advise on prodcuts I haven't tried and am not familiar with, especially when it involves mixing and injecting these things into one's body. I would contact that company for more guidance.

    2. Robert Brown says:

I’m from the Toronto area of Ontario. What Canadian peptide supplier did you purchase from.thanx

      1. Jai says:

Canadian Medical Supplies seems to be the most consistent and reputed on CJM. I got mine from Peptides Canada Direct.

    3. Jai says:

Hey Trevor, from what I’ve read its generally advised not to use mixed products. You’d be better of buying both individually especially considering the significant difference in dosage requirements between the 2 peptides.

If you did try the mixed vial, how were your experiences with it? I would really like to know.

      Thanks!

How will TB500 do for a pinched nerve between the c6 and c7….I’ve been using BPC for the last 6 weeks for this injury and it hasn’t don’t much.

Maybe I am.not shooting it close enough to the injury but I don’t want to shoot directly into neck as I’ve been going thru my trap

    1. Shane says:

Hey , I am just coming back from nerve damage in c6 and c7 and was wondering if this product could help with my recovery. Any help or feedback would be helpful.

    Hello,

Could you.please tell me the dosage for an oral I take of tb500?

    1. paul cousineau says:

      1. Yes, you can totally combine both at the same time. It works well. In the same location. Stay tuned for spilanthes info!

  67. Jeff says:

Great info Ben! Can TB 500 help for torn fascia that has detached to some extent over several years?

    1. I am not a doctor, and I haven't seen the extent of your injuries. With that being said, I’d put my money on TB/BPC being able to aid in the healing of any muscle adhesions with the miracles I've seen them work. These are just my own personal thoughts and not a prescription or a diagnosis or any form of health care whatsoever.

  68. Ryan says:

What if you don’t have any injuries? Is this something you’d recommend for basic maintenance? I’m big on preventative proactive therapies. I appreciate your thoughts.

    1. I am not a doctor and this is not to be taken, interpreted or construed as medical advice. Please talk with a licensed medical professional about this. I would say yes though. Just because you dont “know” or “feel” any injury, you might be one functional movement away from a weakened tendon or muscle – snap, crackle and POP! These are just my own personal thoughts and not a prescription or a diagnosis or any form of health care whatsoever.

  69. Gari says:

I’m sorry, I need it spelled out and the maths keeps confusing me.

    What’s my dose if i weigh 165 pounds and i have 1 5mg unconstituted TB500 & 1 3ml bottle of BCW?

I have a .3mL needle for dosing & a 3ml syringe for drawing up the water. Are units and stick marks the same thing?

Someone help me work it out. please!

    Gari

    1. Dave W says:

Brother, you are WAY over thinking it. If a 200 pound man may take 5 mg x 2 week..
Then just to be safe, only use 5 mg a week until you get a feel for it.

If I had zero guidance at all, I’d probably use 2.5 a week.

      1. Ryan says:

Hi, I’ve got a similar question on dosing for TB-500. i weigh 165 pounds and i have 1 5mg unconstituted TB500 & 1 3ml bottle of BCW? I just worked out my dosing of 250mcg of BPC-157 which equals 15 units on my 1mL syringe. Now I’m trying to figure out how many units of TP-500 to use if I’m shooting for 2.5mg x twice a week. I think that equates to 1.5 full syringes. Is that right?

        Thanks

        Ryan

        1. Duane Longhofer says:

I have the same question Ryan. Someone please respond. Ryan is saying 2.5mg of TB 500 is 1.5 ml? Seems like a lot. If true, would it be better to do smaller injections daily? Thanks!

  70. Heidi says:

Is it 3ml of Bacteriostatic H20 per each 5mg vial of BP-50 to reconstitute, just as it is for BPC-157?

Ben, I just trid to purchase 6 vials and used your code but it actually make the price higher with the code because I lost the “quantity discount” by using your code…Is there anything that we should do to avoid that…

    2. Jeffrey Delkin says:

I have Dupretren’s in my hand. The chords are tightening which is common to this disease pulling the fingers towards the palm. I cannot play guitar any longer. I can still hold a flat palm to the floor when I exercise, but it gets more difficult as the disease takes hold (no pun intended). I’ve read a lot from others inflicted with this. Didn’t like what I read. Hand surgery with modest effects, often adverse effects and too infrequent a fix to the problem. I tried deep tissue massage and scraping too.

My physiotherapist suggested BCP-157. We injected this into the palm for a few weeks 3x week. We then worked up a 50/50 mix of BCP and TB500. I’ve upped my injections ( 5-7 injections) into the surrounding areas of the protruding nodes in my palm. The results have been significant. Into week 6 of a 3x injection program, and the chords are opening up (reacting to the ‘rematrixing’ of the cells). The TB seems to disperse the liquid throughout my palm. My ‘clutched palm’ is reduced and flexibility is restored. We’re going to stick with this for another couple of months.

    Hello, from Portugal here…Today i bougth TB500.

After 7 years suffering with pain, left gluteus(top), adductors (Pubic Insercion), i don’t have a exactly diagnosis, after many doctores one orthopedist/surgeon detected “femoral conflict”. I decided 2 months ago to go to a hip arthroscopy. I expected that this could solve all my problems but still recovering and still with the same pain.

So i decided to move forward.I heard about TB500.

Could this peptide help me ? Here i payed 260€ (304,67 USD) for one box (10 doses 2MG each). How much boxes shoukd i take to have a correct evaluation if it’s working or not ?

      Hi Ben,

For recovering a distal bicep tendon after surgery, what would you use for a protocol? BCP 157 or TB 500 or stack?

  74. Joe says:

    Hello Ben,

This sounds very promising and I have a question I’m sure you haven’t heard before. It’s regarding healing. I’m about 230 and avid lifter as well as running occasionally. But I’ve had severe injuries to my l3-s1 for years a d yes I’ve tried some stuff before as far as lifting. But when I was 2 I had encephalitis. I survived it back in 74 which most didn’t however the treatment had left me with migraines and seizures as a child and was told my adult teeth would be very weak when they grew in. So I’m 44 and most of my teeth have broken and I’ve been looking for alternatives to implants. You said both the products mentioned in this article would improve healing and I’ve heard stem cells are capable of regrowing teeth. Would this work for me and how or where would I inject it or maybe do a oral form and let it sit in my mouth for a bit? Never really thought about this but I’ve tried so many clinical trials and been turned down each time. Any info would be greatly appreciated thank you in advance.

I am a dentist and this is my professional opinion.
There is absolutely nothing, and I mean nothing on the market that can “regrow” your teeth.
Don’t waste your time and money chasing these pipe dreams. For the cost of this hypothetical stem cell research which has no basis not any proven results you would be able to get a full mouth of implants plus some extra pocket money. But hey don’t listen to me, after all I only have 2 degrees and years of experience! 🤙🏽

    Hello Ben,

Would bpc 157 and or tb500 help my pinched nerve?

I have 2 herniations in my neck and the nerve is pinched between c6 and c7.

How would these supplements stop the pain and regain strength in my right side as my strength is the gym is demoralized at the moment.

  76. John Behan says:

    Hey Ben how are ya?

I have a pinched nerve between my c6 and c7.

    Would the bpc157 and/or tb500 help this?

Would it just relieve the pain or would it remove it from being a pinched nerve to back in place?

Would I regain feeling in my right side and regain all of the strength on lost on my right side due to this injury?

  77. Mr. Broken Neck says:

I broke my neck this year at C6-C7 facets. Started taking TB-500 immediately following the accident. I don’t sit still well and was back in the gym almost immediately, simply to not go stir crazy and pump the blood anyway I could. 8 weeks later I was hitting bodyweight overhead squats for reps with the jerk, 0 pain and completely stable spine. I’m in my late 30s. I eat well, sleep well, and drink a lot of water. I doubt I would have been as well off, had I not taken the TB.

    1. Kimberly Harper says:

      mr broken neck

    Hello Ben,

isit possible to use acetic acid water to mix TB500 or PBC157?

I bought it instead of BW

    Thanks

    1. Ben Greenfield says:

      I wouldn't. Can't vouch for that water…only sterile bacteriostatic.

  79. Pete says:

    Hi Ben or other readers

How stupid would it be to try and take this stuff in my suitcase from the UK to the US?

Since it is not illegal to buy and own it, would I be ok? Or am I setting myself up for unnecessary problems?

  80. Nick says:

Have you heard of any improvements to spinal disc hydration levels through using TB-500 or BPC-157? So for a dehydrated and bulging but not burst disc to gain height through stimulated repair through peptide use?

  81. Joe says:

Hey mate, I’m getting a shoulder reconstrcution in about 2 weeks. Do you think that TB-500 and BPC-157 would help heal something as complex as this. Or do you think that stacking something like GHRP-6 and CJC-1295 would work better because this would assist in muscle growth and strength gains of surrounding muscles etc. Also if chose to use peptides when do you think I should start using them, I will be in a sling for 6weeks after surgery with only passive movements.

    1. Dave says:

Hi Joe I have the same shoulder replacement in 1 week I am going to bpc150 and tb500 into the back of the shoulder did you have any success with this and recovering quicker?
      My email is [email protected]
      Any advise would.be massively appreciated.

  82. Kimberly Harper says:

    Hi Ben

I was in a bad accident 5 years ago and was feeling better until my Dr. gave me levaquin which damages your mitochondria, gut, tendons And ligaments. I was going to order BPC 157 but see where you think TB500 is stronger. Do you know if it shows up on an employee drug test as i get tested occasionally? Also, your thoughts on fragment 176-191, a friend of mine uses it and suggested it for me. I understand you’re not a Dr, but just looking for your personal opinion. Thank you

    1. Yep, both will show up on a drug test but both also are out of your system after about 48 hours…

      1. Justin says:

You think bpc 157 and tb 500 would show up on a employee drug screen? What drug would they show up as? im curious to know. To my knowledge a 10 panel test is not going to show peptides.

        1. At the end of the day a peptide is nothing more than a complex amino sequence. So I would be VERY confident in saying – absolutely not.

    2. stathis says:

Did this end up helping your Levaquin Toxicity recovery Kimberly?

      1. Kimberly Harper says:

        1. Trevor B says:

Kimberly, fellow floxie here. Did you end up using bpc157 or tb500 or both? Thinking about starting this as well to stop all the tendon issues from cipro.

        2. Tena Pitzing says:

Hello I’ve been suffering a yr now with Cipro toxicity I also am very sensitive to everything foods as well never was before Cipro toxicity. Can u tell me how your doing now I just started bpc 157 and Tb 500 20 mcg everyday . But it’s made me very tired any suggestions and I also have muscle spasms and wasting as the result of Cipro toxicity. Thank u

          1. nicole says:

            hi,
I had EXACTLY the same thing happened. did you end-up trying either peptide? All I can say is it has been a brutal recovery but am slowly getting better…

  83. Joe says:

Just to be clear, you’re saying a standard dose for 200 lb. person would be 7.66mg, which is a little more than one 5mg bottle a week, correct?

Also, did you use tb500 for yourself? If so, when did you see results? Which did you like better, the tb or the bpc?

    1. No, but i have used BPC-157. TB is more powerful. And you are approximately correct on dosage, yes.

      1. Kevin says:

        Hi Ben,

Would one inject the entire 7.66mg at one time? So let’s say a bit more than 3 full syringes or so? (Assuming it took 3 syringes of BAC water to fill the 5mg bottle)

        Thanks!

        1. I can't really go much further than the advice I've given in the article or I'd be teetering on giving medical advice. This might be a good one for the Kion Community. 85. Jon Snow says:

So I’m still dumb 5mg vial will get you how many doses when reconstituted with 2.5 ml of bac water?

    1. Jesse Marshall says:

If you’re 200lbs or more…it wouldn’t even give you a full dose for that week.

  86. Nathan Carroll says:

Hi Ben. Have a groin problem which I have had for years and it just won’t go away it’s not a hernia or osteitis pubis I had an MRI and the specialist said they wouldn’t operate. I can still play sport but I’m just less agile and slower than normal and it takes a few days for the groin pain to go away after sport. Would tb500 help to heal it or would bpc157 or something else be better? Thanks :)

  87. Lenora Holzapfel says:

In 2015 I found my self bed ridden for 8 weeks with an issue all the doctors I had been to we’re unable to diagnose. I discovered, after much research, that what I was suffering from was damaged facia in my left and right gluteus muscles, which left me unable to do anything. I was in excruciating pain and couldn’t do anything except lay in bed on my back. Then my husband found TB 500. Initially I was against using it but after deteriorating to the point of being bed ridden I broke down and ordered some. As soon as I received it my husband injected me in the gluteus muscle. Within 30 minutes I started getting relief from the TB-500, within 8 weeks I was out of bed and the pain was gone! It healed the damaged fascia covering the gluteus. If I had not done this I don’t know where I would be today. For me, TB-500 was a life saver and if I had to I would use it again. I have suffered no side affects then or now.

    1. Thanks for sharing this experience. I am glad you were able to find something that worked.

    2. Sarah says:

Lenora can you please tell me what source you used for the peptides? thank you!

Beware : “Thymosin β4 induces invasion and migration of human colorectal cancer cells through the ILK/AKT/β-catenin signaling pathway”

    1. Raiderberg says:

John why do you say beware?

Thymosin beta4 regulates migration of colon cancer cells by a pathway involving interaction with Ku80.

      https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/20536451

The results of the below article state article state: “..and is a potential target for cancer treatment.”

      https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/25218472

These results suggest that Tβ4 is an important regulator of the ILK/AKT/β-catenin/Integrin signaling cascade to induce cell invasion and migration in colorectal cancer cells, and is a potential target for cancer treatment.

      1. Gaius Gracchus says:

What that means is that they want to suppress Thymosin Beta 4 in order to treat the cancer.

Hi Ben, great article!!. I have wrist tendinitis and can’t lift anymore it’s driving me crazy. For TB 500 what method of use do you recommend? Intervenes etc.

  92. Katherine Watkins says:

Which out of BP157 or TB500 (or a combination of both) would you think would be better for a case of De Quervain’s thumb tenosynovitis?

    1. I think the combination of both would be the ultimate approach.

  93. Brooke says:

I am not sure if my original question posted…I was wondering if I could use TB-500 to regenerate thyroid tissue? My endocrinologist said that my Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis has almost completely destroyed my thyroid. If yes, then where do I inject?? Additionally, I was wonder if the BPC-157 would have any benefits on thyroid as I plan to take orally for leaky gut/digestive issues.

  94. Brooke says:

    Hi Ben,

I’ve tried researching this on my own but haven’t been able to find much. I have Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis & my endocrinologist says I barely have any thyroid left. Would TB-500 help regenerate new thyroid growth & if so where would I inject it?? I plan on taking this along with the BPC-157 (orally) for gut inflammation to see if it can repair leaky gut & digestive issues. Thoughts?

    1. Scout says:

Brooke, my mother was prescribed Bpc 157 for leaky gut and chronic ibs. She took it about 30 days, before she saw an improvement. After 45 days she claimed the ibs she suffered with 40 years was gone. Bpc 157 fixed what she thought was not fixable. Her doctor told her to inject sub-q as his patients got better results that way. He said if she couldn’t handle needles they make a capsule form designed to get to gut where it is needed but they are more expensive. The stuff she used was prescribed and compounded by Tailor Made compounding labs, you can get it prescribed for ibs issues.

      1. Ryan Brady says:

Tailor Made compounding pharmacy is the pharmacy that we use in our clinic. One of the few that produces medical grade.

  95. Bernie says:

I wonder if this would be effective if applied transdermally. ie. in my case, applied to skin in the vicinity of an old and troublesome shoulder injury.

  96. Martin says:

    Hi Ben,

Do you think it’s a good idea to use both TB500 and BPC–157 at the same time.

Also do you have any idea of TB500’s half life?

  97. Lily says:

I am interested in your product.

    1. Do you have any questions I can help you with?

  98. Jo Boy says:

Would TB-500 help in healing peripheral nerves that have been injured for many years? I have a 6-year old ulnar nerve injury which has barely healed since the initial injury. Thanks.

    1. I am not a doctor and nothing I say should be taken as medical advice. Please talk to a licensed physician about this. There is plenty of evidence that this can be used to help the nerves, yes.

  99. Rob says:

When’s the best time to take this , I’m guessing before bed since most muscle growth happens while resting/ sleeping

    1. Timing doesn't seem to be that important as the half-life in the bloodstream is pretty long. Post workout is when a lot of people do this.

  100. Reggie Love says:

Iam recovering from a ruptured quad tendon i have read your articles and have decided to try tb 500 I am looking for a reliable web site to purchase the product and would like to ask if I m using 5mg a week what number woud that be on a insulin syringe, thanks for your help

    1. If you read through this article, you'll find all your answers!

  101. James says:

Should I be using this along with some Curcumin and hot/cold baths?

    1. Not necessary as it can blunt hormetic response!

      1. Raiderberg says:

        Ben,

Thank you for all of the helpful information. 3 failed shoulder surgeries and a lifetime of not caring about my body has me in pain every day. I started BPC 15 and Beta4. Definitely seeing improvement, but still in pain even when I type. I consumed about 15mg of each over a two week period. Moving to week three of BPC 157

I am thinking about adding IBF to the regime.

I also visit the Chiropactor weekly, Cryotherapy daily, and started Structural Integration today.

Do you think Cryotherapy is restricting my cell growth? It has really helped with managing the inflammation that builds up in my shoulder every day.

        1. Cryotherapy when done in excess can indeed limit healing, so use that in early stages of healing, then back off. Heat and electrostimulation are better at that point. look into this, for example: https://bengreenfieldfitness.com/2014/03/what-is-…

  102. Stephen says:

Hi, I was wondering the protocol for injection, if I was for example doing 5mg a week, would it be 1 dose of 5mg once a week or 5 doses of 1mg per day

  103. Jim says:

My wife has suffered from debilitating leg cramps for years, usually nocturnal. We have spent much money and time trying to find a cure, including every type of magnesium supplement we could find. Nothing has worked. We’ve also tried MSM and DMSO. Sometimes the cramps are in her calves, sometimes her thighs, sometimes her back and even her toes. Sometimes several muscles cramp at once. She has a high tolerance for pain, but these cramps leave her sobbing. I have purchased TB-500 and received it today. Does your research offer any hope that this could help eliminate her muscle spasms?

    1. Sue says:

500milligrams of Magnesium fixed my90 yr old mothers severe leg cramps

    2. Ney says:

Hi I would advise a ferritin blood test and check other anemia markers as well.

  104. Fred says:

When taking BPC or TB orally what in erase in dosage is required to equal your protocol for injection. How many my per week/day.

    Thanks in advance.

    1. Hey Fred, you'll find all the dosing info here: https://bengreenfieldfitness.com/2016/05/how-to-u… let me know if you have any further questions.

      1. John says:

Hi Ben, you never mentioned the dose per injection. The only reference in the article is the total dose per week and reference to the bcp protocol, which you then say is different from the tb500 protocol. No mention is given of *how much* of the ~5mg per week to inject each time and *how many times* per week

    2. bub says:

why would you take a peptide orally? It’ll be digested, that’s why you need to inject.

  105. Fred says:

If using TB for 4-6 months to help healing of an injury. How long will it be before being able to test clean in a blood test. Thanks.

    1. I would give yourself at least 48 hours or more… For it to get out of the bloodstream…

  106. dirk says:

    Hi Ben,

I have orderet BPC157 and Thymosin ß4 (peptides warehouse) in order to hopefully help a painful knee. It’s mcl related, and quads, calfs that are too tight… But it is something muscular or tendons… I’m planning on dosing BPC @ 500mcg/day and TB4 @ 2 x 2mg/week… You think this is a good setup?

    Thanks!

    1. That looks like a pretty good setup to me.

  107. Donnie says:

I’ve had several back surgeries. I have cages and screws in my back. Which of these would help the recovery of my coresume and lower back? BPC 157 or TB 500?

    1. I am not a doctor and this is not to be taken, interpreted or construed as medical advice. Please talk with a licensed medical professional about this. These are just my own personal thoughts and not a prescription or a diagnosis or any form of health care whatsoever. However, both could be efficacious. TB tends to be more powerful than BPC…

  108. Craig says:

Hi Ben.. I have an old hip fracture that went un noticed.. which lead to osteoarthritis.. hip impingement and a laberal tear.. also have wear and tear on my left hand, 3rd metacarpol is painful and weak.. seems like my tendon is not in line..

Can I inject TB500 into my damaged hand ?

    Kind regards

    Craig

  109. Russell Stumpf says:

I bought this TB 500 but it says it’s 44 amino acids? Is there a difference? Link below.

    https://www.geopeptides.com/thymosin-beta-4-tb-500-5mg-10-pack.html

    1. I will only vouch for the TB-500 I talk about in the article above. It is the stuff that I've actually vetted.

  110. B Patterson says:

    Can I take TB-500 , with vielight 810?

    Ur so cool Ben.

      1. Craig says:

Hi Ben.. I have an old hip fracture that went un noticed.. which lead to osteoarthritis.. hip impingement and a laberal tear.. also have wear and tear on my left hand, 3rd metacarpol is painful and weak.. seems like my tendon is not in line..

        1. A subcutaneous injection near the injury site may work.

    1. Hamish says:

Whats the half-life of it? How long after is it detectable in urine and blood?

      1. It will stay detectable for anywhere from 2 to 4 days after injecting…

        1. Adam says:

Are you sure? I found on a website that TB-500 has a half life of 10 days. That would mean the detection time must be over 2 months.

          1. vb says:

if half like is 10 days.. it will take 20 days to be out of system

          2. Jr says:

            How “VB” said
“if the half life is 10 days it will take 20 days to be out of your system”
            Is incorrect.

Half-life and metabolism of a substance works by halving every half life if that makes sense

So 10mg after 10 days will be 5mg
            20 days 2.5mg
            30 days 1.25mg
            40 days 0.625mg

            And so on

  111. Sean says:

Is this effective taken orally? And is it safe to take bacwater with this orally? Thanks

    1. Yes, but it's going to be more effective if injected.

  112. Kim says:

    Hi Ben,

I have bee suffering from severe symptoms of post concussion syndrome for several.months after a car accident. The use of TB500 has been the only trratment ease my symptoms and give me my life back. I ceased use last week after 3 weeks and had reoccuring concussion symptoms. As such? I recommenced injections as of last night. Have you read much about the impact of TB500 on brain injury as I’d love to know if more prolonged use would have a permanent impact/remedy for me? Thanks for your time and interest.

    1. Kerry says:

      Hello Kim

I read your comment regarding concussion symptoms and wanted to offer something that you may want to research further.

I don’t recall any literature (research or anecdotal) suggesting that TB 500 showed efficacy with regard to repair of brain tissue. I have however read anecdotal comments regarding N-Acetyl Semax Amidate with regard to increase in BDNF (Brain-derived neurotrophic factor) and the growth of new neurons. I am currently testing N-Acetyl Semax Amidate for its nootropic properties however I have read post in which people suggest that it is “healing” brain damage.

I am simply offering this as an area of research that you may find of interest.

      Regards

  113. AMANDAYC says:

Hi Ben, so how much time do I have to use up a vial of tb 500? How many days if I keep it refrigerated? Thanks!

    1. Most research shows TB-500 to stay good unrefrigerated for month or two if not reconstituted. Once reconstituted, it should be refrigerated and used within one week. That is the primary reason this stuff comes in such low dosages (e.g. 5mg for an average one week of dosing and 2 mg for an average maintenance dose).

  114. MandiYC says:

Hi Ben, so in your non-medical opinion, which is better ( bpc 157 or tb 500) for reducing inflammation in the joints? I’m considering taking it orally, 250mcg daily for 30 days. Thanks for your feedback.

    1. I'm a bigger fan of TB for that…

      1. Sue says:

Where to get orally ? And will tb 500 help repair cartlidge

        1. It's all in the article, it's the same formula. I am not a doctor, so this is not to be construed as medical advice. It's worth a shot as there have been cases of it helping to repair cartlidge.

  115. Dave says:

    Hey Ben,

Can I combine BPC157 and TB500 in the same syringe? I scanned through and didn’t see this question. Sorry if I missed it.

    Thanks!

    Dave

  116. MYuen says:

    Hi Ben,

I had tennis elbow on both arms for over 3 years now. Had one surgery on the R, countless PRPs, and a stem cell treatment on both but still to no avail. Pain on the L never eased up and I just had my 3rd PRP booster injections yesterday after having my stem cells 2 months ago. So can you tell me if BPC 157 or TB 500 better suits my situation. Many thanks!

    1. Charlie Kent says:

Dude I am in the exact same boat though I also have chrnic patella tendonitis as well unfortunately. I went on a cycle of thymosin beta 4 with CJC but I did not see any real improvements. I have not tried BPC 157, though if i do I will continue with eccentric exercises to hope the collagen heals

  117. jerry says:

Hi Ben..my question is this, I have a 9 year old german shepard..his back end is all of a sudden weak, where he will fall over, like he can’t hold himself up, I can see extreme weaknes inhis hide quarter. The vet has taken many x-rays and blood work, but all comes back perfect.Do you think this pepetide would help my dog?..he is 101 pounds, extremely strong, Walking is his issue, he can run like the wind, then he can fall over.Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    1. Hey Jerry, I am not a doctor and nothing I say should be taken as medical advice. If it were me yes, I would try it.

  118. Sean says:

How significant is the strength and endurance benefits from tb500? Ive seen many logs raving about the healing effects but havent seen many mentioning performance benefits

    1. More fat loss/muscle gain benefits IMO.

  119. Ryan says:

I have done my research related to this, I am thinking about ordering TB-500…I have a few questions to ask before ordering, I am a volleyball player and stopped playing for a while to let it rest and in process of healing. I have A SLAP tear is an injury to the labrum of the shoulder. Should I use TB-500 for shoulder so it can increase muscle growth? I would be interested on your take of how to do the injections there.

Any thoughts/opinions or recommendations are greatly appreciated! Thanks for your help and this info :)

    1. I am not a doctor and nothing I say should be taken as medical advice. If it were me, I would try TB500, and to inject simply get as close to the injury site as possible. If you want to go into detail feel free to book a consult at <a href="https://greenfieldfitnesssystems.com/ben” target=”_blank”>www.greenfieldfitnesssystems.com/ben and choose 20 or 60 minutes and we'll get you scheduled for a Skype consult.

  120. Thomas says:

Wondering which would be more affective for ligament and tendon tears TB500 or BP175 I’m currently dealing with a Scapholunate ligament tear.

    1. I am not a doctor and nothing I say should be taken as medical advice. I would go for TB500 as long as you know its a banned substance.

  121. Adrian says:

    Hi Ben

Ive been struggling with my left brachialis and so after listening to a podcast in which you mentioned BPC-157 I tried it out. I was hoping for a miracle cure, which I did not get. However, I believe it certainly helped a lot. I am considering a second round. But the peptide rabbit hole is certainly interesting and I am most keen to try some others. But I would like to see if you have some advise for me on another topic. After having listened to your podcast with Dr Gains I thought that either you or Dr Gains may be able to at least point me in the right direction. My wife suffers from a condition called Pelvic Vein Congestion which causes her a lot of pain. From what I understand, she has a seemingly unnatural mass of veins around her uterus which may also suffer from a “valve” type problem in which blood can potentially run in the opposite direction and pool in locations which causes pain. She has been to doctors which offer invasive solutions with unattractive success rates. I have been searching for other cures, but the only thing that I found (supplement with Diosmin and Hisperidan) had some psychological effects. Any thoughts?

    1. I am not a doctor and this is not to be taken, interpreted or construed as medical advice. Please talk with a licensed medical professional about this. These are just my own personal thoughts and not a prescription or a diagnosis or any form of health care whatsoever. In terms of doctors, here are a few directories that may help you find a good functional medicine or naturopathic practitioner in your area:

      • HealthProfs.com
      • FunctionalMedicine.org
      • Naturopathic.org
      • PrimalDocs.com
      • PaleoPhysiciansNetwork.com

That will ensure you find someone who I would likely vouch for!

Finally, I'd be happy to help you via a personal one-on-one consult. Just go to https://bengreenfieldfitness.com/coaching. and then choose a 20 or 60 minute consult, whichever you'd prefer. I can schedule ASAP after you get that.

    2. Hey Adrian, thanks for reaching out. Firstly, I am not a doctor and nothing I say should be taken as medical advice. For something like this I suggest you book a consult at <a href="https://greenfieldfitnesssystems.com/ben” target=”_blank”>www.greenfieldfitnesssystems.com/ben and choose 20 or 60 minutes and we'll get you scheduled to go into detail there. Thanks

  122. David Whitney says:

Ben, what about using this or bpc 157 for the SI joint? Mine has been acting up for years. A lot if cracking and popping. It’s definitely a weak link. But it just seems like a scarey spot to go IM.

    1. I am not a doctor and this is not to be taken, interpreted or construed as medical advice. Please talk with a licensed medical professional about this. These are just my own personal thoughts and not a prescription or a diagnosis or any form of health care whatsoever.

If I were you, for the SI joint I would do this exact program: http://www.RunWithNoPain.com – that's why i wrote it!

  123. Tiffany Palmer says:

Hey Ben! Thank you for all of your awesome content. I am wondering if you are familiar with Medivet Equine’s TB-1000 which they market to be twice as concentrated and potent as TB-500? I can find no clinical research to support this claim, and am wondering your thoughts/opinion. Thanks so much!

    1. I am not and have not used it yet but suspect it is very similar to TB500…

  124. nasa says:

do you have to take bpc- 500 on a empty stomach ??? or you have to have carbs in your body?

    1. Nope, you can take it on full or empty stomach although because it is a gastric peptide, empty stomach may be better.

  125. Simon says:

As BPC 157 and TB500 seem to have different mechanisms of actions could it make sense to take them together or are there any contraindications you’re aware of?

    1. I would say save your money, take one or the other, and if you HAD to choose and it is legal for your sport, TB-500.

      1. Kat says:

tb500 if you have to choose – even for ligament injury?

  126. Charlie says:

Hi Ben, has your post on IGF-1 LR3 & DES been released?

    Kind Regards,

    Charlie

  127. Lukas says:

Hi Ben what is your advice for how frequent to inject and length of time to trial Thymosin and see results?

    Thanks

    1. It's all right there in the article…

  128. Chris says:

Hello, I have started taking bpc157 and tb500 last week to help with tendinitis of the patellar and an SI injury. Wasn’t expecting much for the SI but I can say something is definitely working. Both are feeling much better and I’m only just over a week in.

I was kind of scared because I ran across some threads that said TB500 leads to cancer or promotion of benign tumors…most of these were at least 4-5 years old though and it seems there are countless logs online all with good experiences. Nonetheless I was still worried so I did some more research and came across a pharmaceutical company in the US doing clinical trials for thymosin beta 4 to help with dry eye syndrome. I have attached some links. This makes me feel much safer but if you have any more insight I’d really appreciate it.

  129. Alfonso says:

Ben, i remember you saying you had sprained your ankle during one of the spartan and you used this as a recovery. How exactly did you inject into the ankle?

    1. Subcutaneously around the medial malleolus.

  130. John says:

Ben, just to make sure I’m understanding the maths correctly and not going crazy on the dose. Based upon the recommended dose of 7.66mg / week, it would be expected to use up 1.5 vials of this stuff per week for a 200 pound person?

Alos, based on what you read, do you have any thoughts about how best to do this? One shot once a week or a set number of days apart?

    1. Hey John, all your questions can be answered by reading through this: https://bengreenfieldfitness.com/2016/05/how-to-u… and checking out the peptides calculator here: https://researchpeptides.com/forums/58-peptide-ca…

      1. Kevin says:

        Ben,

I might be a moron but that link above is for BP-157. I think people (and me) are asking about the TB-500 dosing protocol.

        Thanks again

        1. Dosing protocol for TB-500 is in the article above.

  131. Dominick Maron says:

    Hi Ben,
This may be an odd question. But would this be good to inject or spray on those that have undergone hair transplants in the first month of surgery. Fue microscars. I see you mention it improves hair growth and blood flow. both which basically what rogaine claims to do. Surely this would benefit new transplanted hair follicles in taking and holding? Interested in your thoughts in the matter.

    Thanks,
    Dom

    1. I haven't seen actual research on hair growth, but theoretically, this could indeed accelerate capillarization and blood flow!

  132. Jb says:

    Hey Ben,
What is the equation you would used to determine how much TB 500 to use per kg? Wondering how many 5ml vials I need to purchase to treat bilateral anterior shoulder pain.
    Thx, Jb

    1. Read this first, everything you need to know is in here: https://bengreenfieldfitness.com/2016/05/how-to-u…

  133. Jb says:

    Hey Ben,

What is the equation you would used to determine how much TC 500 to use per kg?

    Thx, Jb

  134. Charlie Cross says:

    Hi Ben!

Have you had any personal experience or know anyone who has used IGF-1 LR3 & DES?

Thank you for all the informative work you share!

    Regards.

    1. I have an upcoming post on this one! Stay tuned!

      1. Charlie Cross says:

Perfect ! Are you able to email me once it is up?

        Kind Regards

        1. I can't sorry! You just need to stay tuned!

  135. Bob says:

Ben, how would this be for hip labral tear?

    1. I am not a doctor and nothing I say should be taken as medical advice. I would definitely give it a go. Let me know if you have any more questions.

  136. Travis says:

Can I take TB500 with SARMS? If so, which stack would you recommend for lean muscle and strength? I also have some tendon pain on the inside of my elbow, thinking TB500 could help.

    Thanks

  137. Johan says:

Is it possible to take TB500 oral as BC-157 (oral bioavailability)?

    1. Yep, same as BPC you can take it orally and it will work systemically.

  138. James says:

Hi Ben and thanks for all the great information! Just wondering if you see any reason that I shouldn’t start a TB500 cycle almost immediately after a BPC157 cycle. It’s only been a few days after I’ve finished my BPC157 (with some “success”) but I’m anxious to being the TB500. Thoughts? Thanks!

    1. You can do it, but I'd recommend taking both at once then cycling off both at once.

  139. Lindsay Lee says:

This is amazing! The use of the TB-500 and Thymosin Beta 4 for humans are limited and it can increase muscle growth, improve endurance and most of all can speed up the healing process of wounds. Essentially, peptides are small proteins that can help to boost the naturally occurring hormones within your body, to help you achieve better results.

  140. Richard says:

    Ben,

My wife is an elite athlete who had hip surgery for a torn labrum with impingement. Recovery is super slow and testing is not a current concern… Any suggestions for site and frequency of injection?

    1. I am not a doctor and nothing I say should be taken as medical advice. If you have a read through the article, I would suggest following the recommendations there. If you want to go into detail book a consult at <a href="https://greenfieldfitnesssystems.com/ben” target=”_blank”>www.greenfieldfitnesssystems.com/ben and choose 20 or 60 minutes and we'll get you scheduled.

  141. Edmo says:

There is a site in Australia selling TB-500 reconstituted in 15ml vials. They say to go with 25 units daily for loading. This would mean one month from the same vile. Are you saying that it would be”bad” after 8 days?

    1. I can ONLY vouch for the TB-500 source I have listed here (peptides warehouse)…and the loading scheme I recommend above. That is *all* I ill vouch for! Keep any you don't want going bad in the freezer btw.

  142. Tanveer says:

    Hey ben , great article.

Would combining BPC-157 with TB-500 be same as combining it with MK-677 or any other GH increaser for recovery ? Or is the BPC-157 + TB-500 combo the way to go ?

    Thanks

  143. Brian palme says:

Can tb 500 be taken orally

  144. matthew perry says:

    Hey Ben

Can you pre-fill syringes with tb500 and put in the freezer until use. Do you have experience freezing this peptide and using it later? I heard once tb-500 has been reconstituted, you have to use it up in 8 days before it goes bad!

    1. Theoretically yes, but you do need to use relatively quickly after reconstitution so if it were me I'd reconstitute "fresh" batch.

  145. Luke Voigt says:

    Hey Ben,

Is there any reason you didn’t list Blue Sky Peptides with your sources for this one?

Wondering if you discovered something about quality since the previous BP-157 post.

    Thanks!

    1. I'm pretty sure you can get this from blue sky peptides too but I didn't check there. Their peptides are good though.

    2. Rick F says:

I’ve been buying mine from Blue Sky and so far so good.

I am about 195lbs and am putting 2 syringes of water into the 5mg bottle of TB500 and I inject 1 full syringe once every 2 days.

  146. Dan says:

Ok Ben ordered the stuff as you suggested. 3 bottles. Going to give it a shot on my elbows which have a bit of tendinitis from doing lots of ring and bar work.

Do I try and inject it right into the tendon?

How long does the mix last?

Also strained my back a bit would this work for that as well? Inject it into the lower back muscle?

Any advice would be aprciated. I do believe you used it on your elbow tendinitis as well so I would be interested on your take of how to do the injections there.

    Thanks.

    1. For the elbow – subcutaneously, exactly over the area of pain. Pinch the skin and inject away. Best to book a consult for the rest of the questions and we'll go over it there. <a href="https://greenfieldfitnesssystems.com/ben” target=”_blank”>www.greenfieldfitnesssystems.com/ben and choose 20 or 60 minutes.

      1. Dan says:

Ok Ben. Thanks. Started the TB 500 for my elbows. Got the 5mg of TB 500 and reconstituted it with 3 cc/ml. of water (3 syringes full) Just about filled the file. Now based on injecting just under .1 cc/ml or just under 10 (8) units for a dose of around 250. How long did that vial last you? Seems like there is a lot left and the amount injected is small. Is my dose and math right?

    2. Boris says:

Should I use TB-500 or BPC-157 for an Achilles. I recently tore it and was wondering if any of these products could speed up my recovery?

      1. Either would work but if you're not competing in sanctioned sports then TB500 is more powerful.

  147. Tim says:

Peptides seem different than anabolics /hgh in the fact that (i’m asking) they don’t shut down or disregulate any of your bodies natural productions /processes or make you feel “weak” it different after stopping them correct?

    1. That is indeed correct.

  148. Brian says:

    Ben,

I’ve recently been diagnosed with osteoarthritis in my right knee, with significant cartilage damage. Would either TB-500 or BPC-157 be worth trying in this situation?

    1. I am not a doctor and nothing I say should be taken as medical advice, and yes it's worth trying.

  149. I’m always interested in learning about better supplements for my health. I’ve heard a lot of good things about peptides, but this was the first time I’ve read about TB-500 in particular. It sounds like it can have a major impact on helping you recover from injuries, which is a huge deal in today’s world. I may need to look into it some more before actually buying it, but thank you so much for taking the time to explain it!

I have taken BPC-157 in conjunction with TB-500 after reading about someone’s experience. I used the BPC-157 at an injury/inflammation site in my shoulder. I have a pain that came out of nowhere and has prevented me from doing bench presses mainly, and shoulder presses. I also got pain when I did external rotation of my shoulder. The BPC-157 gave me good results at 250 mcg twice daily intramuscularly. The pain is not completely gone but it has definitely lessened in severity. I don’t get any pain with a reverse grip press so I have been doing those with light weight and I can now do shoulder presses. BPC-157 really blew me away on how quickly it improved my gut status. For me it only took 4 days of orally dosing with 250 mcg. So I did both the oral and intramuscular daily for a month. Two weeks into the BPC-157 I ordered TB-500 and did 1mg per week subq in my thigh because I didn’t know about injecting intramuscularly at the injury site.

With the TB-500 it seems that pain was reduced even more in my shoulder and it appears that I recovered much faster from my workouts. I took the TB-500 on rest days. I have two more 1mg doses of TB-500 and I am going to site inject intramuscularly to the shoulder to see what happens. Then I will stop taking both for a month to see how things work out. Hopefully I won’t need them again.

    Thanks for the info Ben!

I have an upcoming surgery and their will be a very long incision basically from my knee to ankle on both legs. Do you feel this would help with healing the would and potential scar tissue. Is TB 500 or BPC a better choice or both??

    1. Honestly either could work. I am not a doctor and nothing I say should be taken as medical advice. TB-500 is probably a bit more powerful.

Hi Ben, I have been using TB-500 for minor injury repair assistance for more than 2 years. I have found it to be extremely effective for minor strains to calves, hamstring, shoulder etc. Luckily I have not had to try it for any major injuries. When I first used it I was blown away by how effectively it worked – even to the point that I began to doubt the seriousness of the original injury. When injured I dose at 5mg per week for four weeks then take at least four weeks break. The only side affect I have noticed is a little light headed feeling which passes pretty quickly. I am in my late 40’s and I train hard. TB-500 allows me to train through minor injuries which is great. Love your work

Does this peptide also help heal leaky gut like BPC-157?

Would TB-500 or BPC-157 be helpful for broken bones with poor vascularity?

The above references demonstrate a relationship to cancer. Can you please provide references that substantiate your position that TB-500 presented with CA is not contributory. Many thanks.

And drinking soy increases your risk of endometrial hyperplasia.

The same arguments are seen with insulin, insulin growth factor (IGF), HGH, and anything that increases over expression and up regulation of androgenic receptors.

I think it’s all about what your goals are as anything that isn’t organic and 100% natural is technically foreign to your body and has its side effects

    2. The research goes back and forth. I highly suspect that in a case of mitochondrial integrity – such as discussed in my recent podcast with Dr. David Minkoff on what really causes cancer – it is a nonissue. But that is just a hypothesis.

    1. If you are racing Spartans you can't take TB-500. So there's your answer!

Spartan does not test.. And i missed this year due to this injury.. Judt want to know if the TB500 would be a good choice given my injury.. Will be 12 months before any racing.. Might not do Spartan either.. Just local stuff.. Thanks

      1. BPC-157 better choice for you I think if you are racing.

Ben, are there other ways to heal faster/ recover faster from training, that dont involve injecting yourself? lol

Hi Ben, I am interested that you mention one of the effects as reduced inflammation in tendons. Have you come across anything to eliminate Dupuytren’s constricture, which is a disease of tendons in the hand, without surgery?

I’m always interested in your research. Many Thanks, Pete

    1. I am not a doctor and nothing I say should be taken as medical advice. Probably the best resource for you would be to really focus on improving your tendon integrity and this article would be quite helpful for you with regards to that: https://bengreenfieldfitness.com/2013/05/mobil…

Thanks Ben, that has given me a couple of things to try.

Do you think this would be good for a fractured kneecap?

    1. I am not a doctor and nothing I say should be taken as medical advice. However, I have seen some studies that show that the anabolic effect may help with bone healing.

BPC 157 for healing gut also has a good potential when taking as enema technically . For healing leaky gut etc . So that may be way to try it , should be very potent that way and has been done before. Did you have anny luck shuttint down leaky gut etc with oral administration Ben ? Lactulose / mannitol testing before after ? BLP?

    1. I don't have leaky gut so I couldn't tell you. But the anime idea is quite interesting. And you may want to look into this: https://www.karger.com/Article/Pdf/338435
