-July 28th-30th – Asheville Spartan Race Meet-Up: If you're in the Asheville, North Carolina area next weekend for the Asheville Spartan Race event, I'd love to meet you! I'll be hosting a special VIP Q&A and will be “around” all weekend. I’m racing both Saturday (at 7:30am) and Sunday (at 7:30am), and you can click here to do the race yourself!
On the Friday before the race, I’ll also be at the official Spartan Open House from 4-6pm at 740 North Fork Road, Black Mountain NC – where you can come to learn how to do Spartan race obstacles and preview the course. This event is free…but you have to sign up here.
Finally, I’ll be hosting a VIP Q&A session after the race on Saturday, right around 10am at the big, black Spartan Pro Team race tent in the expo. Come meet me, ask any questions you have about health, fitness, nutrition, etc. and join the fun! You will need to buy a spectator pass to get into the expo area, but it is only ten bucks…and trust me, it’ll be worth it!

So proud of my boys. They harvested plantain leaf, yarrow leaf, Oregon grape root, arrowleaf and red root leaf, then combined it with oil of oregano and avocado oil and let it sit in the sunshine for 2 weeks, shaking it every day in a giant glass mason jar. Then they strained the oil from the leaves, put it into a double boiler with beeswax and let it heat for 15 minutes. The result? Their new invention: "Pain Away!" And it actually works pretty darn well on sore muscles.
