Welcome to Ben Greenfield's Weekly Roundup and Cool New Discoveries!

Ben Greenfield's discoveries, from the latest news on the fronts of fitness, nutrition, health, wellness, biohacking and anti-aging research. I also recap my upcoming events and special announcements so you can keep up with giveaways, discounts and more!

New Discoveries Of The Week: Cool New Things I'm Trying, Books I'm Reading, And More!

– Very Tasty New Electrolyte Brew I've Been Sippin'

The company “Phenoh” recently sent me their portable packets and bottles of alkaline water + plant-based nutrition + electrolyte hydration, scientifically formulated to support bodies in motion. They use 84 trace minerals for optimal hydration, along with alkaline minerals from the soil that support the natural pH of the human body, then pack these things with 1350mg potassium (more than coconut water and 3x a banana), organic aloe vera (which is a potent source of essential amino acids and glycoproteins needed for rebuilding muscles during and after exercise), bamboo extract with silica (to support immunity and joint health while fighting inflammation), and a host of phytonutrients. Although I get tons of bottles and liquids in the mail to try, this stuff in particular tastes addictively good and is a perfect “supper sipper.”

You can grab the bottles or packets here. (Use code: BEN to save 10%) I think you'll like them.

– A New Technology To Lull Yourself To Sleep, Relaxation & Focus

I've been talking quite a bit on recent podcasts and articles about the NuCalm vagus nerve stimulator and electronic device I've been using to simulate a full 90-minute sleep cycle in 20 minutes. But one major piece of feedback I got back from you was that the price tag of the NuCalm was a bit – ahem – hefty. So I've been testing a ton of other devices to see if there's a lower price range solution for you that elicits calming effects, with an option for things like focus, sleep, etc.

And do I have a doozy for you: it's called a “HUSO.

An acronym for “human sound,” HUSO delivers uniquely enhanced human toning sounds through headphones as well as through pads placed on major acupuncture meridians, thereby introducing specific modulated frequencies that are balancing and harmonizing throughout the body. The best way I can describe it is like getting an acupuncture session—without the needles, the drive to the acupuncturist, or the schedule. One session takes about 25-30 minutes; and during it, a strange series of tones create a natural resonance in your body that HUSO claims counteracts the (harmful) EMFs, toxins, and stresses you are exposed to during the day. All while rebalancing the body, leaving you with a clear head, improved health, better sleep, and a feeling of calmness and well being. I don't know about all that but I do know it makes me feel totally zenned out every time I use it.

You can try one at BenGreenfieldFitness.com/huso and use code: BEN25 to save $25.

Special Announcements:

::: Save Up To 20% On The Only Baby Food I Recommend :::

It's rare to see ingredients like pasture-raised meats, savory organic veggies, and organic avocado oil in baby food. It's also rare to see baby foods that are low in sugar (Leading organic baby foods have an average of 9 grams of sugar per pouch. To put that in perspective, that'd be 90 grams of sugar for an adult!)

That's why, as a father, nutritionist, and health consultant, I can tell you with confidence that Serenity Kids baby food is the only packaged baby food I would ever recommend any parent feed to their precious child.

Serenity Kids baby food is made with ethically-sourced meats, organic veggies, and healthy fats to nourish your little one's growing brain. Created to mimic the nutrients of breastmilk, Serenity Kids baby foods contain the perfect combination of protein, fats, and carbs, so that your baby can grow up healthy and strong.

Right now, when you use this link, you can save up to 20% on variety packs (plus get free shipping in the U.S.).

Featured Product: Kion Bar

One of my favorite things to grab when I'm traveling, running out the door for a long hike or adventure, or when I'm just hankerin' for a delicious chocolatey snack, is the Kion Bar.

This bar is something I formulated specifically for active individuals who need a clean, real-food source of energy on the go. It's hypoallergenic and guilt-free, and jam-packed with a unique blend of ingredients that support energy without excess carbohydrates or artificial ingredients. Chia seeds, almonds, coconut, and cacao nibs also give it an amazing crunch and texture that's much more satisfying to eat than the gooey mash that makes up your average energy bar.

And if you're looking for a more “indulgent” way to eat these things, try them with a piping hot cup of coffee—or my favorite—crumbled on top of some Oatmeal Cookie Halo Top ice cream. Bon appetit.

Check out the Kion Bar today, and fuel your next adventure with pure, clean energy!

Thanks for info on the HUSO, Ben! It’s certainly less costly than the NuCalm. However, it’s still more money than the Sensate vagal toning device…which has great reviews. The Sensate also takes less time to work it’s magic! Wondered if the Sensate…which I first saw here https://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-511923… was one of the devices you have tried. This site gives a great overview of the vagus nerve (with images). The Sensate website is Getsensate.com. Would certainly appreciate your thoughts on the device I mentioned, if you’ve tried it.

OBTW…your wife’s sourdough cinnamon rolls look absolutely luscious. How about offering them for sale on the Kion site! Ha! If that’s not possible, a Kion bar that tasted like the cinnamon rolls would be divine!
