New Discoveries Of The Week: Cool New Things I'm Trying, Books I'm Reading, And More!

The Trick To Digging Into My Hard-to-Reach Spots

Mobility refers to your ability to move your body and limbs freely and painlessly through your desired movement. Next to balance, mobility is the most neglected basic ability I see in most athletes and people I coach. As a result, despite decent fitness, these folks—and most of us exercise enthusiasts, weekend warriors and athletes—are predisposed to all of the disadvantages that accompany this lack of basic mobility, such as tight IT bands, faulty movement patterns, and overworking of muscles.

A foam roller is a good tool for breaking down adhesions to improve mobility. My one complaint, though, about a foam roller is that it can be quite awkward to get into difficult to reach spots, such as the adductors, the upper pelvic muscles, or even areas on the upper back or neck where you might want just a little bit more leverage to really dig into the tissue.

Enter the Mobility Wall foam roller, which you simply mount on any door in your house for a foam rolling experience that allows you to hit body parts that you normally otherwise wouldn't be able to do deep tissue therapy on.

I have one now in my basement doorway, as you can see, and it works perfectly when I need to walk by it and just dig into a few hard-to-reach spots. Mobility Wall’s lightweight design makes it easy to adjust at any height. It comes fully assembled and quick-mounts onto any door frame so you can experience tension relief within minutes.

Special Announcements:

::: Skip The Waitlist For The Continuous Glucose Monitor That I Use :::

One of the biggest game-changers for optimizing my health has been understanding how food affects my energy levels. If I over fuel, or eat specific foods that don't work for my body, both my energy levels and physical fitness can be adversely affected.

About a year ago, I started using a product called Levels to measure my blood glucose. Levels is an app that pairs with a CGM (continuous glucose monitor) to give you information about your metabolic health. It wasn't until I saw data about the way I was metabolizing food that I was able to gain insight into the way that I felt and performed every day. Your metabolic function has a number of factors that affect it—diet, exercise, and sleep are a few of them. With Levels, I've been able to dial in my diet and fitness to optimize my energy every day.

Right now, there's a 120,000+ person waitlist for Levels. However, they're letting me offer a private beta which will allow you to skip the waitlist entirely. Click here to sign up.
