Listener Q&A [28:25]:

As compiled, deciphered, edited and sometimes read by Brock Armstrong, the Podcast Sidekick.

How To Read At Night Without Disrupting Sleep

Tony says: He is looking for the best way to read in bed without disturbing deep sleep. He has 3 scenarios (all of which include blue blocking glasses): 1. Reading on his phone using a low light app on top of an iris app. 2. Using his paperlight Kindle with a bit of light. 3. Reading a hardcover book with a scientific light in the room (like a sleepy baby).

How To Keep Your Appetite Satiated During A Fast

Rob says: What are some tricks or mental hacks you use to keep yourself from breaking a 18-24 hour fast and giving in and some munching on something?

How To Increase Oxytocin

Stephanie says: She is interested in using Oxytocin as a therapeutic remedy. How can she purchase some or how can she increase it naturally?

In my response, I recommend:
-My upcoming Christian Gratitude Journal
Oxytocin sprays and supplements

How To Naturally Clean Swimming Pools

Jodi says: What do you think of the Clear Choice Natural Swimming Pool Treatment? It uses enzymes instead of chemicals. Is it a legitimate product and is it a better choice than chlorine?

I have for 6 days tried LGD 4033 and Caradine both from DNA Anabolics and I feel like total crap – headache, severe nausea, anxiety, drowsiness – feels like the very tail end hours of when I’ve tried armodafinil, but much stronger. Obvioulsy working out is a bit of a trial, so I think I’m going to have to accept these are not my bag. Have you or anyone you know experienced anything similar? It’s a shame as I was excited to try them out.

    1. I can only vouch for the source I list here…that might be your issue: https://bengreenfieldfitness.com/2016/12/how-to-g…

    Hey Ben

I’ve used SARMS. I did 2 different cycled on LGD-4033 and am starting another on MK-677 and Rad 140. The LGD made me look pretty awesome, but didn’t in fact show a gain in muscle weight for me. I checked with Dexa before and after. The appearance though was big, and bone density went up a lot. I did a cycle on 5mg a day and another on 10mg a day and same results. I’m hoping the MK and Rad will be better. Will check with Dexa at the end and post. Here’s a link to the article I wrote up about SARMs use. I referenced your podcasts and articles as that’s what initiated my trial and post. http://erisfit.com/how-to-use-sarms/

  3. Ramon says:

    Hi Ben,

Regarding you pool cleaning. Have you checked “natural pools” (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Natural_pool) where the water is cleaned/ filtered by vegetation (basically reproducing the conditions of good natural clean water)?

It will not work for a hot tube but would be perfect for a cold swimming suface.

    1. Not quite sure how I would swim through plants?

  4. Michael says:

Whats the name of the push IVs you mentioned?

  5. The Architect says:

Great podcast. Thanks for touching on fasting again, and my apologies if this has been discussed previously (although I couldn’t find it specifically). There seems to be a lot of ‘internet advise’ that fasting in females could cause hormonal imbalances. Is there any truth in this? Currently I carry out 16 hour fasts daily and have not experienced any obvious negative side affects but would like to introduce a 24 hour fast fortnightly.

  6. Mark Davis says:

Ive read your previois articles on SARMs. Please correct me if im wrong but it was suggested 10ml a day for 8 weeks or 20 ml a day if fat loss is the goal. Looks like GW is about 50-55$ for 10ml. This could rack you up a bill of about 3000$ if used once a day for 8 weeks. Is this correct or is GW to be reconstituted like other peptides?

    1. Vashti Schulz says:

Hi Mark..I went on that website and if u look at the bottle details it is 10ml GW/1ml of the bottle…so therefore it should be 30 serves of 10 ml.

Hope my explanation makes sense :-)

    2. 10mg a day – not ml. So if a bottle is 10mg/ml and a bottle is 30ml: you would have 15-30 days usage in a single bottle. Most already come in a liquid solution.

  7. Hey. I tried the three SARMS Ben recommended in his big article while doing CrossFit for a free months. I got huge. The biggest I’ve ever been. I didnt really get puffy. I certainly packed on a lot of muscle but didn’t get very lean. My drive didn’t improve sadly. I’m off them now as I want to lean out so I can fit back in a pair of skinny jeans!

    1. I also got a bit of a protruding belly. I have abs but when I wear a shirt it looks like I have a belly. I’m not sure if this is the same thing that steroid users get or if it’s because I was squatting and deadlifting so much more weight.

  8. Foxytop says:

Based on the coffee class I recently took the caffeine content of coffee doesn’t change based on the roasting of it since caffeine is heat stable.
