Biohacking, Podcast

Hang on for a wild biohacking ride, because you are about to hear a super special podcast with biohacker Luke Storey. I visited his home in Los Angeles to go through all of his supplements, smart drugs and nootropics, his biohacked bedroom, his “Zen Den” relaxation lounge, custom cold pool setup, and much more.

If you're into biohacking, or want to learn more about it, you'll be drooling over this episode and everything you'll find in the shownotes below.

Luke Storey is a former Hollywood celebrity fashion stylist, motivational speaker, kundalini yoga and meditation teacher, world-class biohacker, and host of The Life Stylist Podcast. He’s spent the past twenty-two years developing and refining the ultimate lifestyle based on the most powerful principles of health and spirituality, while at the same time embracing the technology and modern conveniences of urban living.

Using himself as a human research lab, Luke has explored a broad and sometimes extreme variety of measures to obtain optimal health, performance, and well-being. From surviving being injected with poisonous Amazonian frog venom, to enduring weeks of neurofeedback meditation in an isolation chamber, Luke has scoured the earth for the most cutting edge, as well as ancient, technologies of healing and transformation.

Luke has tenaciously applied the results of his field research and used them to not only completely transform his own life but also the lives of thousands of fans and followers through his various media channels and speaking engagements. As a transformational speaker and entrepreneur, Luke continues to share his strategies for healing and happiness through his innovative and highly effective Lifestyle Design teachings, his Youtube channel, and wildly popular podcast, The Life Stylist.

Since 2008, Luke has also served as Founder at School of Style, the nation's most prominent fashion school for stylists.

Awesome podcast. Love the two just sharing biohacking tips & tricks.
Has anyone found any information about these mats (price/how it works) that supposedly block geopathic stress zones. Because it looks like these guys from geovital keep maximun secret on these mats and you can only buy one if you make your home inspected by one of their consultant.

Love the show and this episode. Packed with good info. I wish Ben would do a show on his top 10 recommendations for everyday people who don’t have the resources or access to such expensive or hard to find things. Aside from the obvious cut-out junk food, get good rest, exercise – what are the simplest, most readily available, and most cost-effective recommendations of cognitive and health enhancement? Great show and thanks again.

    1. Genevieve says:

I second this request! It can seem REALLY overwhelming and expensive for someone who is newer to biohacking. A starting place and a list of priorities for the general “healthy ” population would be a huge help! I’m almost hesitant to listen to these type of podcasts because it makes me feel like there are a thousand new things I need to do when I’m already doing a thousand things!

  3. EJ says:

can someone please tell me where is the video link?

  4. Catherine Cashmore says:

Link for the “Vision Gym” doesn’t work..
(Great vid BTW – very informative – enjoyed every moment)

  5. John says:

Here’s a reasonably priced, low maintanace cold plunge that has refrigerated cold water circulation and filtration. No ice needed I’ve used it for years and it works great . https://furohealth.com/products/hyoga-cold-plunge-tub

    1. Eduardo says:

      Good job !!

  7. Steven says:

What was the name of the sleeping bag / faraday cage? To protect from EMF

  8. Dave says:

New title for this page… “The Biohackers’ Christmas List”. Has anyone had any experience with paradigm peptides?

  9. Caleb Rudd says:

A meetings of the minds. However the link to Ozone generators takes you to environmental ozone generators that use ambient air to generate ozone for decontamination & remediation. What Luke was demonstrating was a medical ozone generator that require pure oxygen to produce pure ozone. Such devices include Promolife, Synergy WPS-100, TrulyHeal etc.

  10. Such an awesome tips from a podcast! Kudos to the interviewer and to Luke Storey!

  11. Aaron says:

Hi Ben, I know you addressed this in a previous podcast, Podcast 404, to be exact, regarding plugging grounding mats into your home outlet, and you essentially shared that it wasn’t an issue, and that grounding was still very beneficial. However Luke commented, at about 1:36 into the podcast, that being grounded can actually be worse for you than being not being grounded, because of the electrical fields in the room, and you an essentially become a conduit. Luke went on to say, that grounding can be a bad thing if you don’t have your room properly tested with an emf specialist. This is very concerning because I suffer from lyme disease/biotoxin illness and in an attempt to reduce my inflammation, and attempt to be the most cost effective I can be (as these illnesses are very expensive to diagnose and then even treat), I bought several grounding mats after listening to you address the question regarding is “Is Earthing dangerous”. Can you please elaborate on Luke’s comments, and let us know what is best. I live in Nashville, very close to downtown, so I know there are a fair share of Cell phone towers in the area. I recently purchased the BlueShield cube as well. Any advice is welcomed, as I am trying everything to feel well again. Thank you for all you do!

    1. I'll be releasing a podcast about this soon, so stay tuned!

      1. Aaron Carrico says:

        1. Ray says:

Dido. I picked up on the exact same thing! Aaron thanks for asking and thanks Ben, looking forward to your followup podcast on the topic.

  12. Greg says:

Where can I buy the sheet at 1:34?

  13. Brian Lambert says:

When I click on the link for the oxytocin it sends me to a brand from Amazon. Is this the brand you guys recommend? Or should I be looking somewhere else? Thanks

  14. Jeff Anenberg says:

Hey Ben, I’ve been doing cold plunges for two months in my pool (55 degrees for four minutes), and I just started wearing my Polar H10 to track my heart rate. After an initial spike to 110 bpm (resting is 60 bpm), my heart rate drops to 31 bpm for the rest of my plunge! Have you tracked your heart rate and do you see similar drops in bpm? I am 40, low carb, in good shape, and have no heart issues. Thanks!

  15. Stephen says:

What is the best way to rid your body of yeast?

  16. James says:

Definitely would love a link to quality MB as well.

  18. Kelli says:

Hi Ben, the vision gym link you provided times out.

  19. luke lomsdalen says:

Hey Ben, Luke briefly touched in his foot fungus issue and I got super excited cause I’ve been dealing with nail fungus for years and can not get rid of it, it’s like it just stays in my body even if I did the nail and it come right back. Luke didn’t say anymore about how to fix it so I’m curious if you have any ideas what to do. I soak my nails 20-40 mins a day alternating Vinegar and Peroxide. I should have no issues with this protocol but it won’t go away and I don’t want to take lamasil. Thanks!

    1. JD says:

Luke, you likely need to address systemic yeast/fungus, since nail fungus is a sign of a greater imbalance in the body. Most of the time, you can do this without pharmaceuticals, through strategic supplementation and diet and lifestyle tweaks. I know a few good practitioners who work virtually on things like this, happy to share their info if you ever need it.

      1. Luke says:

That would be excellent! Cause I know it’s definitely a systematic yeast/fungus issue and idk how to fix it. I eat healthy for the most part and I’m very active, exercise a ton, take good supplements, but can’t get this nail fungus under control and it’s driving me crazy!

  20. Connor says:

I clicked the link on MB and it took me to amazon where I am very skeptical of authenticity. Last time I bought what said hemp extract I got it and it was just hemp oil! So my question is, is the MB from “biopharm” legit? I figure it should be by the name but it definitely says not for human consumption

  21. Stephen says:

Is Robert Slovak AquaTru a good enough source of water? Anything else I need to consider for my families water intake?

  22. Rachel says:

Ben, what is the difference between what Brian Richards from “SaunaSpace” promotes vs. Sauna Ray from Canada? Which is the best one to have for achieving healing and optimal health?
    R. Edmond

  23. Mike says:

Hi Ben. I clicked on the link for the nitroglycerin cream but I don’t see an option to buy it. Can you please give us a little more information. Thank you

    1. Just contact Dr. Koniver over there!

  24. Shaun says:

Hi Ben – I’m going on an all inclusive island vacation and I know that canola oil and other items might be difficult to avoid. On a recent podcast (not this one) you mentioned a supplement to help counteract the negative impact of those oils, but I just can’t find it!! Can you help me out here 😬

  25. Matthew Walker says:

Hey Ben, what do you think of The Pod from Eight Sleep? You guys were talking about the OOLER a little bit during the podcast so I just wanted to get your take/recommendation. Thanks!

    1. I haven't tried the pod, but I can tell you that I absolutely swear by my Ooler, and it doesn't require you buying an entire new mattress. Use code: BEN15 to save 15% https://bengreenfieldfitness.com/chilitechnology

  26. Teresa Moews says:

I am a cancer patient in remission. I love the biohacking, but I always feel like I’ve go to play by different rules. What are your thoughts about some of these strategies and prevention of cancer… longevity?

  27. John George says:

Hey Ben, where can I find the video from this interview?

    1. Stay tuned, it'll be posted shortly!
