Listen on:

I'm infatuated with getting a better body and mind by using special breathing techniques.

In previous podcasts and articles, I've described everything from rhythmic breathwork while running and bicycling, to hyperoxygenation breathing, to fire breathing to hypoxic and apnea training and beyond.

And in today's podcast, I'm going to introduce you to another specialized style of breathwork referred to Chi Kung – or Qi Gong.

My guest is Gary Daniels, a lifelong martial artist, former competitive boxer, and former elite amateur bicycle racer with over 100,000 logged miles and over 200 race starts. Gary specializes in training methods that have been designed to hone physical skill and mental focus, and uses specific breathing techniques to extend time to failure, increase overall core competency, and achieve the highest level of natural balance for greater efficiency in any field of endeavor.

Gary a USA-Cycling certified coach, former Black-Belt in Uechi Ryu karate, three time Florida AAU Golden Gloves competitor, NORBA expert cross country cyclist, Cat-3 masters road racer, present coach of several world class athletes, founder of Health Defense training systems and writer for NextMotoChampion.com

During our podcast episode, you'll discover:

-What exactly Qi Gong is…

-How you can “move” electricity through out your body…

-The link between Gary's work as an electrician, acupuncture and Qi Gong…

-How to “breathe” through your hands and feet…

-How your blood, biomarkers and biology respond to Qi Gong…

-And much more!

Do you have questions, comments, or feedback about Qi Gong  or anything else that Gary and I discuss? Leave your thoughts below and one of us will reply.

Hoping this does a better job, here is the link to my “Coach’s Corner” article on QiGong in Next Moto Champion Magazine – https://cloud.3dissue.com/84663/85007/100377/V5-2… – I beleive this does a more proficient job of explaining Qigong (from my perspective). You can give me feedback on this at [email protected]. All comments positive or negative only cause me to strive to improve! Gary

I love you Ben but this episode was awful.

Hey Frank, this is Gary. I greatly appreciate your feedback! It was actually my first interview of any kind (ever) and although I had so much more to offer, I just didn’t get myself into flow… meaning I just never really opened up. Would love to try again some other time; promise to give more of myself. As Ben says, if you are interested enough to inquire, I will respond with credible info. Best regards!
