He has veins that are popping out in his shoulders and bicep. They look like varicose veins (but not as severe – zig zaggy) and he doesn't like the way it looks. Is there anything he can use to make them disappear or is he screwed?

~Β In my response, I mention the transcript to a previous episode we did on varicose veins, Also:Β Horse Chestnut Extract,Β Grape Seed Extract, andΒ Butcher's Broom.

Brian asks @ 00:31:30
He is new to the supplement thing and would like to know about NatureAminos – is it Amino Acids or Protein?

~Β In the response, I mention my previous episode on the race in Mongolia.Β In that podcast, I had talked about Pemmican, Cocochia bars, and Supergreens.Β I also mention you can make your own beef jerky OR eat 200-300 calories of jerky from US Wellness Meats. Austin asks @ 00:58:18
He has heard that when you weight lift too much it starts to destroy your muscles rather than build them up. At what point in time does that happen – 5 hours a week or 10 hours a week?

~Β In my response, I mention Performance testing at pacificfit.net.

This is one awesome post πŸ™‚

I try to drink water every now and then – before going to sleep, after I wake up (Studies say that water can help to restart our organs), and during my meals.

Currently, I don’t track my water intake, but I am going to start doing it. As tracking is the only way we know for sure whether we have accomplished our goals.

I do carry around my own water bottle (20 oz) so tracking will not be tough for me πŸ˜€

Also I try to make water more interesting, I usually go with iced tea πŸ˜€

I don’t have a measuring cup, so I am just going to try and finish my bottle 3 times a day πŸ˜€ (that will get me close to my daily intake needed :D).

Anyways, thank you for the comprehensive post πŸ˜‰ Water has so many benefits and yet many of us forget to drink enough of it everyday and most of us are not aware of what our daily intake should be.

  2. denn2625 says:

There’s always been confusion over the subject of how much water what one should take in a day and whether water really contributes to weight loss. Thanks for clarifying them.

  3. Chauncey Lebold says:

I believe that avoiding refined foods could be the first step in order to lose weight. They could taste excellent, but prepared foods have got very little vitamins and minerals, making you consume more simply to have enough energy to get with the day. If you are constantly feeding on these foods, transferring to whole grains and other complex carbohydrates will make you to have more power while taking in less. Good blog post.

Hello, Neat post. There’s an issue along with your site in web explorer, would test this? IE nonetheless is the marketplace leader and a good component of other people will omit your fantastic writing because of this problem.

  7. Greg says:

Great episode. Do you have a link to the water study you mentioned about water being exposed to prayer and positive thoughts?

Aubergines (egg plant) are not root vegetables. They are yummy nightshades. One eats the fruit.

Hey Ben – let me be the first to respond to your question re 'this week in published studies'… YES! please keep them coming! When I discovered this podcast, it was the emphasis on scientifically-backed research that sold me rather than the approach of certain other podcasts: "I train, this is what works for me, you should do it too"

Having said that.. I cringed when I heard reference to the Japanese water "studies".. or rather, pseudo-studies. This "scientist" has been repeatedly offered $1,000,000 to reproduce the results in a proper, double blind study.. which he has not done. The 'photographers' in the study have also indicated that they were instructed to take the nicest looking pictures they could of the 'postive' slides and vice versa. This is anti-science and should be frowned upon. Not blaming though, these things can slip past the best of us

    1. Yes, and I will be the first to admit that I am using an N=1 argument when I say that I feel much, much better on structured water, and I think we're only scratching the surface on what we truly know about water, bonding, and quantum physics…
