When I was a fledgling fitness professional, one of the first books I ever read was “How To Eat, Move & Be Healthy“, by Paul Chek.

So it was a bit of a surreal experience to get to knock on Paul’s front door a few weeks ago and join he and his family for an epic weekend of conversation, workouts, nature immersion, Paul’s crazy daily habits (which you’ll discover in this podcast episode).

Who is Paul Chek, and I why would I travel all the way to the hilly backcountry of San Diego, California to interview him?

Paul is an internationally-renowned expert in the fields of corrective and high-performance exercise kinesiology. For over twenty-five years, his unique, holistic approach to treatment and education has changed the lives of countless people worldwide – many of his clients, his students and their clients. By treating the body as a whole system and finding the root cause of a problem, Paul has been successful where traditional approaches have consistently failed. Paul is the founder of the C.H.E.K (Corrective Holistic Exercise Kinesiology) Institute, based in California, USA and the P~P~S Success Mastery Coaching Program.

He is a sought-after presenter and has consulted for organizations such as the Chicago Bulls, Australia’s Canberra Raiders, New Zealand’s Auckland Blues, the US Air Force Academy and other elite organizations. He has produced over 60 DVDs and 17 advanced-level home study courses designed for the fitness and clinical professional.     Good question! I would think youlay on the back. Also was wondering about the prone cobra exercise and if when turning the hands up, are the arms staright out in front of u or are they on the ground like regular cobra?

    Awesome episode! That podcast gives just so many areas to dig into,… loved it!

    I’m really curious how spirituality in society will go forth, considering how Paul was pioneering so many areas and how the impact will be.

    I use to filter my water with a RO-filter, remineralize it and leave it in the garden under a rosemary bush. Usually I would do that over night, but now I will experiment with going up to two days and including some minerals/stones. Looking forward how that will come out.

    Would love to hear more podcasts with you guys together!

    Hey Ben, You guys were talking about structured water and Paul said he has a different way of doing than yourself. He said he was using 5 gallon glass bottles and leaving them in the sun/moon light until he needs it. Was there something else? Was he throwing a mineral/rock into the jug or something? Paul was a great guest.

    I am not sure that the Stokkebye is not the cleanest option. I have researched this quite a bit and was a fan of the Danish export and Shag for some time until I found out about this pure organic Virginia, at leaf only.

    Regarding the conversation on head tilt, have either you or Paul use a NUCCA chiropractor? NUCCA is National Upper Cervical Chiropractor Association. NUCCA’s adjust the C1(Atlas). These corrections accomplish the same thing that Paul was discussing. My Board NUCCA is Jack Stockwell. He is based in Salt Lake City. You may want to talk with him about this. Jack and his wife Mary has their own podcast called “Forbidden Doctor”. Jack’s correction allowed me to avoid a neck surgery.

    1) what type of lid do you use for your mason jars when you store your water?
