Jordan Harbinger is back!

In my first podcast episode with Jordan we talked about:

-What kind of body language mistakes that fit people with nice bodies make which hold them back socially…

-How to reprogram your brain to actually like and appreciate things like kale smoothies and ginger juice…

-A simple eye trick to get you to “fake it until you make it” with extreme social confidence…

-Why bars and clubs are not necessarily the places to go to to enhance your social intelligence and ability to build relationships…

-How I went from eating fast food, being ultra-shy and reading fantasy novels to being named as one of the world's top 100 most influential people in health and fitness…

Jordan has always had an affinity for Social Influence, Interpersonal Dynamics and Social Engineering, helping private companies test the security of their communications systems and working with law enforcement agencies before he was even old enough to drive.

He has spent several years abroad in Europe and the developing world, including South America, Eastern Europe and the Middle East, and speaks several languages. He has also worked for various governments and NGOs overseas, traveled through war-zones and been kidnapped -twice. He’ll tell you – the only reason he’s still alive and kicking is because of his ability to talk his way into (and out of), just about any type of situation.

On his podcast, he gets deep into the untapped wisdom of the world's top performers — from legendary musicians to intelligence operatives, iconoclastic writers to visionary change-makers, deconstructing the playbooks of the most successful people on earth.

Among the many things Jordan and I discussed here in Round 2:

-Various drug-related topics…2:42

  1. Dana says:

Tried the Ultimate Coffee Mix. Hyper focused and aware. It will take a little getting used to operating at that level. Thanks Ben.

  2. Mark says:

I keep hearing these people, like Ben Greenfield, Tim Ferris and others on podcasts talk so leisurely about how they microdose (or more) psilocybin. But when I look into how to get some, I see all the warnings about how it’s a Class A (or1?) drug with stiff penalties if caught with it.

I am in California and would like to try this, but I don’t know any dealers, and I certainly can’t get it legally that I know of. So, what is a guy to do? I would go mushroom hunting in the woods after a rain, but I’ve read enough warnings on look-alike killer mushrooms to not trust doing that. I could get a grow kit and spores, but that’s illegal in California.

And how do these podcasters, and so many tech people in Silicon Valley do this, while they talk so openly about it? I just don’t get it. What am I missing?

    1. Celia evans says:

I’d like the answer to this question as well. Good question!

      1. Mark says:

Doesn’t look like we’re going to get the answer.

        1. I'd recommend listening to this podcast: https://bengreenfieldfitness.com/mckenna …. Here's a link to the growing guide mentioned: https://goo.gl/hJ5Evy

          1. Mark says:

Thank you, Ben. I’ll listen to the podcast. I don’t think I’m allowed to legally get spores in California, but I’m sure there must be a way.

  3. Jose Mora says:

    Hi Mr. Greenfield,

By any chance do you know a functional medicine practicioner in San Diego that you would highly recommend? I went to functionalmedicine.org but there are quite a few practicioners on that website.

Thank you for your help and Merry Christmas!

    Jose

  4. Jeremi says:

Merry Christmas to you and your family, Ben!

I love the subject of non-verbal communication; Jordan was an awesome guest and I’m going to look into more of his work.

Have you read or heard about Joe Navarro’s books, specifically “What Every Body is Saying”, and “Louder Than Words” ? He covers the subject of nonverbal communication from his background as an FBI agent, but also as a Cuban immigrant and learning how to communicate with others, though did not speak the native language.

Admittedly, I’m not the most socially adept, but his books have really given me an entirely new lens in which I view the world.

  5. Dean says:

Where can you buy the psilocybin and how much do you exactly put into the drink that you make?

  6. Mike says:

Interesting podcast Ben. Are you buying your psilocybin pre micro doses or are you processing it yourself? If di, how ?

    Cheers

  7. Joey says:

Great episode but the title was a bit of a tease. Maybe in another episode you could elaborate on CBD and THC for sleep.

    1. Amy Teitter says:

I agree! Definitely need more info on CBD & THC for sleep!
