Moon Express is the only company in the world to have the permission to leave Earth orbit and land on the moon with the goal to harvest planetary resources and to develop infrastructure to make humanity a multi-planetary society.

Viome is focused on disrupting healthcare with the goal of “making illness elective” by identifying microbial biomarkers that are predictive of chronic diseases and to adjust the microbial imbalance through personalized nutrition.

Naveen Jain a trustee of the board at the X PRIZE Foundation where he is focused on using incentive prizes to find a solution to many of the societal challenges. He recently launched a million-dollar Women Safety XPRIZE to empower the women around the world. Naveen is also on the board of Singularity University where he is focused on educating and inspiring leaders to address humanity’s grand challenges through innovative technologies.

Naveen’s latest project is called “Viome”, a cutting-edge gut and microbiome analysis company I first revealed in the must-see video “What Is Viome? How Gut Metatranscriptome & Microbiome Analysis Can Change Your Health“, then took a deep dive into in a follow-up podcast with Naveen “Age Reversing Via The Gut, The Ultimate Anti-Anxiety Pill, Customized Probiotics & More With Billionaire Entrepreneur & Viome Founder Naveen Jain”. Viome is focused on disrupting healthcare with the goal of “making illness elective”. They have developed technologies to analyze the biochemistry and ecosystem of our body that consists of millions of metabolites and trillions of micro-organisms. Their plan is to identify biomarkers that are predictive of chronic diseases and prevent them through personalized diet and nutrition.

Since that initial interview with Naveen, I've gotten plenty of questions about Viome – including criticisms of the genetic analyzing technology used and the applicability of the test in general. Today, Naveen takes the hot seat, answers all the tough questions and reveals even more secrets to his own success.

During our discussion, you'll discover:

Loved the podcast and the concept of having my gut bacteria tested. I ordered my testing kit using Ben’s discount code, hoping to get the results back fairly quickly. I ended up waiting 7 weeks without receiving any results. I was then notified after multiple attempts to contact customer service that they no longer are able to process any samples from New York. I was looking forward to getting the results and implementing them in my daily eating habits, however very disappointed with the customer service and communication of the company regarding their change in testing licenses across the country.

Why even have comments on this site if none of the questions in the comments are addressed? Rhetorical question. ;)

Anyway. People keep saying that 90% of all serotonin is produced in the gut. But supposedly this serotonin cannot cross the BBB. Is that false or true?
Anyone has links to more information about this?

    Hi Naveen,

I heard your pod cast on Ben Greenfield . Over heard about your Dad’s pancreatic cancer in the latter part of the pod cast . My Father in law also has pancreatic Ca , He had surgery one year ago .Two months post surgery follow up CTscan showed metastasis to his liver. Now 10 months later he is in remission.

  4. Ransom says:

    Ben,
Is there more to the report than what is shown here in your ‘Snapshot’? It looks like it includes possible supplement recommendations?

    Thanks!

  5. Jeff Belano says:

How does the current test offered(viome essential) on the site for $349 differ from the one that will be launching mentioned (Genetic Intelligence test) in the interview. What will the price be? If we order the current test will there be any discounts once the new one launches? Also can Naveen share his Twitter list to follow?

  6. Angie says:

Thanks for another great podcast! Hoping for some clarification. I asked Viome but did not get the clearest answer. If someone has SIBO or Leaky Gut, will this test indicate so? I know it cannot “diagnose” , but would it suggest yes or no? Thank you!

  7. Lucas says:

Great show. Naveen Jain is very inspiring. Two questions. Is it possible to find out those “10 books” that Naveen used to study and learn on the gut microbiome? Also, utilizing the twitter feed for journals sounds like a wonderful idea. Can perhaps Naveen as well as yourself expand upon what might be some of the better journals to follow or subscribe to on twitter? Thanks for spreading such great info. P.S. I never cough your source for IVC and NAD that you mentioned might be revealed from past episode….

  8. Colin says:

Hey Ben! I have heard a few others on Dave Asprey talk about mitochondria being this ancient bacteria that human cells captured, and they have their own “way” in us. As a Christian, and based off of science and what we/you know, do you agree with and believe that mitochondria indeed were taken in, or came into, humans long ago? Very curious about this subject, as I realize how important mitochondria health is for humans!

Thanks for all you do for humanity! Colin
